NEWS FLASH: 'Step Up 2' Has Invaded Baltimore, Maryland

Although Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are not going to be in 'Step Up 2: The Streets', the sequel to their extremely popular dance movie 'Step Up', I am still looking forward to the movie that IS going to star Robert Hoffman (She's the Man, Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out).

From a post Robert Hoffman made from his official MySpace page yesterday, we learn that he is now in Baltimore and is looking for some choice places to hang out. If you live in Baltimore, maybe you should drop him a line.

I also learned a little more casting information for 'Step Up 2' from a CTU reader and from the new Wikipedia page that has been created for the film.

We now know that Rob Hoffman's character is named Patrick Collins. Patrick is a Baltimore local and a student at the Maryland School of the Arts who hears about a legendary team dance battle called The Streets that only locals have access to.

We also now know that the female lead will be played by an actress named Briana Evigan. Her character in the film is Andie West, a B-girl who is a member of the best team for The Streets. When she starts to attend MSA, sparks fly between the her and Patrick and he is let into the underbelly of Baltimore's dance scene.

Rather than a story of an outsider coming in, it's about an insider breaking out, taking dance out of the studio and back to the streets where it all began.

I looked high and dry for a picture of Briana Evigan and could not find one for the life of me. I know she was in Paris Hilton's most resent movie 'Bottoms Up', so if I rent that one day, I will have to get a screen cap of her. I don't know why actors don't add their pictures to their IMDB profiles. You would think that would be the first thing they do, but I think this actress is kind of new.
