As I'm sure you well know, Channing Tatum fans are extremely excited about the upcoming release of 'Step Up 2: The Streets', the sequel to his highly successful dance hit, 'Step Up'.

We are all definitely looking forward to seeing his exciting dance cameo which involves his signature back flip, but instead of flipping off the hood of car in the parking lot of the Maryland School of Arts, Chan is catapulting himself off a DJ booth in a club. As if that wasn't enough, the production also added trampolines and even hotter dance routines to the mix. You can CLICK HERE to see that flip in the new trailer for the movie and get a taste of some of the really hot dance scenes.

The production has also now released new stills from the movie showing stars Robert Hoffman, Briana Evigan, Cassie, and other cast members, and you can view screen captures from the trailer below:

  • Name
  • City
  • State (Only for US Residents)

If you send a picture of yourself, the additional text is optional, but if you choose to send a picture of Chan, then you are required to add your information on the photo for it to be used in the fan video.

Once you have added your text to the photo, you then need to email it to gift@channingtatumunwrapped.com by the November 30th submission deadline.

Channing Tatum Video of the Week: Channing Tatum with Fans at Hairspray Premiere

Today's Video of the Week was submitted by Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan Lise. It shows Channing Tatum interacting with very excited fans on the red carpet of the July 2007 Los Angeles premiere of 'Hairspray', and it also clearly shows the Chanamania that erupts in the crowd of fans around him. Gives you a glimpse of what it may be like if Chan ever met a large group of CTU readers at one time. I'm thinking he would need to beef up security a bit. Enjoy the video!

You can also CLICK HERE to see pictures and read actual fan encounter stories from inside and outside the premiere. Want more? CLICK HERE to view a slideshow of all of the pictures of Channing Tatum and his gorgeous, real-life girlfriend Jenna Dewan at the premiere.

Thanks to Fab Fan Lise for finding this video and sending it to me!

If you have a favorite video that you would like me to consider, send a link to the video to votw@channingtatumunwrapped.com and tell me why you like it. I will post it and your explanation on the blog.

Channing Tatum Pictures of the Week: Fabulous Fan Photo Submission

Each week Channing Tatum Unwrapped will post one or more of our favorite pictures of the uber hot Channing Tatum.

Today's Picture of the Week was submitted by Fabulous Channing Tatum Fans Kerline and Alex. They chose some great pictures of Channing from his Nylon Magazine Photoshoot and one of the many great pictures of Channing at the 2006 Sundance film festival where he promoted his indy film 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints'.

Here is the reason why Kerline chose her Picture of the Week:

I just love this picture. The expression on his face , his clothes, his pose, I just love everything about this picture!!!

-Kerline

Here is the reason why Alex chose his Picture of the Week:

Okay. I'm going to try to narrow my reasons down. Here goes:

1. I love Channing Tatum, but I LOVE Chan. (If you don't understand that, then you're not a true fan.)

2. He's adorable.

3. I can already tell he knows how to have fun, and has a great sense of humor.

4. This photo shows him in the way we don't get to see much. It shows Chan as himself, without character.

5. Did I mention he looks adorable?

I believe my reasons to be full proof. :D

Thanks to both of you for submitting the great pics! If you want to see more of Channing's pictures from Nylon Magazine Photoshoot and from the 2006 Sundance film festival you can find them all in the Channing Tatum Unwrapped Photo Gallery.

CLICK HERE to view a a slideshow for the Nylon photos and CLICK HERE for a slideshow if all of the film festival photos.

If you have a favorite picture from this blog, our photo gallery, a picture you have made or a picture that you have found on the net that you would like us to consider, send the picture or a link to the picture to potw@channingtatumunwrapped.com and tell us why you like it. We will post it and your explanation on the blog. If you like or don't like today's picture (for some completely insane reason), let us know that too by clicking on the comments link below. :-)

RUMOR OR REEL?: Channing Tatum to Play a Cop in South Korea

I just found the following article that was posted on Entertainment Weekly's site on October 5th. I'm not sure if it is true or not, so for now, I am posting this one under Rumor or Reel until I can verify if there is any truth to it. Until then, you can read about a possible new role that Channing Tatum may be adding to his already long list of upcoming projects...

How do you say Channing Tatum in Korean?

Oct 5, 2007, 06:46 PM | by Nicole Sperling

Channing_l Channing Tatum, the hot young thing who caught everyone's attention for his role as the bad-boy dancer in Disney's Step Up, is attached to a pitch that would see him play a fish-out-of-water cop in South Korea. Compelling? The studios seem to think so. The pitch from screenwriter Doug Jung (Confidence) has been making the rounds throughout Hollywood with a number of studios interested. And while it would become a rare U.S. feature to shoot in South Korea, Hollywood is much more interested in Tatum than in the exotic locale of the movie. We should know next week if and where it lands.

NEWS FLASH: Woody Harrelson Joins Cast of Channing Tatum's 'Pinkville'

People seem to love to work with Channing Tatum so much they keep following him from movie to movie. Don't believe me? Well today's new casting announcement for Chan's upcoming film 'Pinkville' solidified that fact.

Channing Tatum, Woody Harrelson, Bruce Willis and Oliver Stone of 'Pinkville'

HollywoodReporter.com is saying that Channing's 'Battle in Seattle' co-star Woody Harrelson has now joined the cast of 'Pinkville', which already includes A-List actor Bruce Willis and three-time, Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone.

Although the article below says they will start filming early next year, Chan told me that he will start working on the project towards the end of November and will be filming in Thailand for 3 months.

You can read the entire Hollywood Reporter article below to learn more about Woody Harrelson's new role in Channing's 'Pinkville'.

Cast in Stone: Harrelson to 'Pinkville'
By Carly Mayberry - Oct 25, 2007

Woody Harrelson is reteaming with Oliver Stone in the director's Vietnam War drama "Pinkville" for United Artists.

Harrelson joins Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum, who already have been cast in the mystery drama based on the infamous 1968 My Lai Massacre, in which upward of 500 people -- mostly women, children and the elderly -- were killed by U.S. soldiers. The massacre ended up being a turning point in the war.

Harrelson will play Col. Henderson, the conflicted officer in charge of the task force that committed the massacre.

Mikko Alanne wrote the script. Production is set to begin next year, with MGM distributing.

Willis will portray William R. Peers, the real-life Army general who investigated the incident. Tatum will play Hugh Thompson Jr., an Army helicopter pilot who aided the villagers and later testified against the soldiers.

Michael Pena, who appeared in Stone's "World Trade Center" and plays an Army Ranger in Afghanistan in Robert Redford's "Lions for Lambs," also has been cast.

Stone is no stranger to films set against the backdrop of Vietnam. "Pinkville" -- the title refers to a military description on the My Lai region -- accompanies the director's "Platoon," "Born on the Fourth of July" and "Heaven and Earth," all of which centered on the war.

Harrelson starred in Stone's "Natural Born Killers." His more recent credits include "A Prairie Home Companion" and "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio." He is repped by CAA, Tracy Harshman and attorney Steve Burkow.

What are some other examples of this phenomena of people following Chan from movie to movie?
And those examples are just off to the top of my head. I'm sure there are more. After spending the day with him and personally seeing how much the 'Fighting' cast and crew love working with Chan, I am sure we'll see plenty more of this phenomena for years to come.

New Picture of Channing Tatum with Fan on the Set of 'Fighting'

Thanks to Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan Bianca from New York, we get another great photo of Channing Tatum taking pictures with a fan on the set of his newest movie 'Fighting' when they filmed on 7th avenue between 54th and 55th street in New York City, NY.

Here's what Bianca had to say about her encounter with Chan and her close encounter with another CTU family member you may know:

I just wanted to say hiiii and tell you that I love everything you do for CTU! You do such a great job and I love reading everything you write! I'm such a huge fan of Channing!!!! Also thanks to you, I was on it last week and saw you posted where Channing would be filming his movie 'Fighting' and I walked to the set because I live in NYC. It was actually Monday October 15th...the same day you were there!

I got to see him in action and ended up getting the chance to meet him and take a picture with him. I was so excited...I never thought I'd actually get to meet him. He was soooo nice and down to earth...and extremely beautiful in person :) He was so cool and I loved how he introduced himself to me as Chan! ahh I see you're still on cloud 9 from meeting and spending the day with him...so am I!!!

Ironically, I am actually in Bianca's fan encounter picture, which is definitely an unusual occurrence. I was sitting behind and to the right of Channing in his set chair talking to Terrence Howard's mom who was also visiting set that day. To the left of Chan and Bianca, you can also see veteran actor Roger Guenveur Smith who I had the pleasure of talking to while Chan was filming.

Roger told me that he plays a character by the name of Jack in 'Fighting', who is the "money man" that funds the underground street fighting ring that Chan's character Shawn joins. He was on set that day to rehearse for scenes that he was going to film the next day with Channing and Terrence Howard. Roger also mentioned that his daughter is a huge fan of Chan's and had visited set recently just to see him. Roger has quite a long resume in television and film, and he can currently be seen in Denzel Washington and Russel Crow's movie 'American Gangster'.

If you have been lucky enough to take pictures with Channing, feel free to send them to sightings@channingtatumunwrapped.com along with your fan encounter story so I can share them with Channing's many fans around the world.

Thanks Bianca for letting me share your great photo with everyone!!!

Channing Tatum Pictures of the Week: Fabulous Fan Photo Submission

Each week Channing Tatum Unwrapped will post one or more of our favorite pictures of the uber hot Channing Tatum.

Today's Picture of the Week was submitted by Fabulous Channing Tatum Fans Vanessa and Allison. We have an assortment of pics from Channing Tatum's modeling days all the way through his much more recent appearance at the Hairspray premiere in Los Angeles.

Here are the reasons why Vanessa and Allison choose their Picture of the Week photos:

I love this picture of Channing Tatum in a hoodie. It makes him look gorgeous (not like every other picture of him doesn't do that). But it shows that he can be hot even without his shirt off. Overall it's just a wonderful picture.

-Vanessa from New Wilmington, Pennsylvania

Hey! My name is Allison and I just love all of these pictures! I know we are not supposed to send so many but it is too hard to choose!! I chose these because some have meaning and because Chan is so unbelievably gorgeous! I love this sign at this church because it is just SO true!! Its really funny! Also the next picture where he is poppin his collar, is so hott!! I love it! Then the next one shows how close he is to his family & that he just loves them so much! His parents are so cute & I love them too! :) && finally where he is with some of his fans! I can relate because I am a HUGE fan and to see him there with them just makes me happy and makes me want to meet him even more! He looks so happy and it looks like he appreciates everything and is really, really, really sweet. Many celebrities don't take the time to be with fans but since Chan did shows how nice of a guy he really is! =]

Thank you so much for sending in all of these great pics, Vanessa and Allison!

Name:
David L.

City:
Montreal

Country:

Canada

Age:

20

Social Networking Site Profiles:

[Facebook Group] [MySpace Profile]

Favorite Channing Tatum Picture and Why?:
Ok, so I know this is kind of a random picture, and it’s not necessarily my absolute favorite pic of Chan, but I wanted to pick a not-so-obvious picture that I was fond of. I love this picture for a few reasons: Firstly, Chan’s jawline is really pronounced, which is one of my favorite physical features on him. Secondly, his outfit is really, really cool. Probably my all-time favorite outfit he’s worn for a public appearance. The loose tie, the casual black vest and jacket over the white shirt, the pants… everything just works so well. You can really tell that he has modelled before cause his sense of style is amazing. This outfit gave me the idea to suggest my brother buy something similar, and he did, and he gets sooooo many compliments on it. All because of Chan. LOL. Finally, I gotta give props to Jenna on looking fabulous as she always does. Every picture which features the two is great because it reminds me of Step Up and it’s really apparent how happy they are together. Gotta love ‘Chenna’.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:
I hate this question because each of them are awesome to me in their own way. When I’m in the mood to laugh (or if I’m watching with some of my younger cousins) I like to put on She’s The Man. Chan and Amanda Bynes’ ability to pull off physical comedy is definitely what brings the movie it’s lustre, always makes it good for some laughs. When I’m in the mood for a more love themed movie, I put on Step Up. I’ve never been much of a dancer myself, but I appreciate the talent involved, and the electricity between Chan and Jenna is pretty hot. If I had to pick an ultimate favorite though (so far), it would be A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints. The reason is, first of all, that’s more my kind of movie in general, the kind of genre I would usually want to watch. Secondly, I feel like this is the movie that Chan really came out of his shell as an actor and let it all out. He was given an opportunity to play a dramatic, powerful role and he pulled it off so impressively that it just made me like him that much more. The film itself was extremely powerful and emotional, and Chan’s performance had the biggest impact on me. Even though Chan played a delinquent in the movie, a troubled, violent character who’s abused and misunderstood, I still found myself liking Antonio and cheering for him. It’s not easy to have that kind of effect on a character, but Chan managed to do it. Just an amazing movie, seriously. Any Chan fan who has yet to see this really must ASAP.

Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?:
Man, these questions are hard. I couldn’t possibly pick one, it’s impossible. Pretty much any kissing scene (Chan and his female leads are always hot together). The gym scene in She’s The Man always comes to mind too, cause it always cracks me up. Chan’s improvisation when Laura Ramsey comes up to him when he’s working out… just too good. In AGTRYS there’s too many powerful scenes for me to choose a single favorite, but one which is always gripping is when they’re at the Church after Guiseppe dies and Dito sort of accuses Antonio (Chan) of being unconcerned with the fact that his brother just died. You can feel the tension and emotion coming off the screen, it’s intense.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:
I’m sure I’m not alone in this choice... “Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” I like this quote because it’s classic, it’s powerful, and it rings true. Everyone over the course of their life will achieve greatness to some degree, in some capacity, because we’re all special in our own way, and in the eyes of people we love. No matter how we achieve this greatness, or where it comes from, it’s important that we embrace it and believe in it.

Have you ever met Channing?:
No, unfortunately I haven’t. If it ever happens, I just hope I don’t make a complete fool of myself or embarrass him or anything. It would be really special though. I don’t know how often Chan has male fans approach him, but I definitely wouldn’t pass up the chance.

Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?:
My initial attraction to Chan was a result of the fact that I found him absolutely beautiful, not gonna lie. But after I took the time to learn more about him as an actor and as a person, my fandom and loyalty towards him became a lot deeper. I don’t see Chan as just some hot actor anymore, I see him as a special talent and someone to look up to. What I find so refreshing about Chan is how down-to-earth he is, how genuine a person he is, and how honest and real he is. Even though he’s a celebrity, I still feel like I can relate to Channing as a person, and that’s what I feel like sets him apart. Chan’s an inspiration to me in every aspect of life and he’s made me become a better person in every way. I’ve lost quite a bit of weight (which I’m still in the process of doing), I’ve quit smoking cigarettes, and most importantly, I’ve realized that I need to be myself, no matter what. I used to pretend I was somebody I wasn’t just to please others, but that’s not the case anymore. I just want to thank Channing for being the inspiration that he is and I want him to know that he really can have a special effect on people through his fame. I wish him all the luck in the world in everything he does in film and in life, and I’ll be keeping up with him every step of the way. I’d also like to thank LaQuishe for being the most dedicated Channing fan and webmistress I’ve ever seen. Her passion for everything Channing is something special and it shows up in the work she produces. So thanks, Quishe, for everything you do and for keeping all of us fans in the know. You deserve everything good that’s come to you as a result of starting CTU, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of the community. We love you.
