NEWS FLASH: Casting Call for Channing Tatum's 'Pinkville' Today in New York and Next Week in Memphis
Sorry for the late notice, but I just found this casting call a few minutes ago....
Channing Tatum's next movie 'Pinkville' (which is directed by Oliver Stone and also stars Woody Harrelson and Bruce Willis) is holding a casting call today (as I type this post) in New York City, NY, and they will be holding a second casting call on November 17, 2007 (next Saturday) in Memphis, Tennessee.
Here's what I know...
The movie will be shooting on location in THAILAND starting on December 1, 2007 for six (6) weeks. Casting agency Winsome Sinclair & Associates says that up to 50 "soldiers" from New York and Memphis will be selected for "featured extra" roles. Featured extras receive more screen time than extras. What's more, "Oliver Stone is known for giving people he likes a line, even if it's not in the script," Sinclair said.
They are specifically seeking Caucasian, African American & Latino males between the ages of 20-35 to play soldiers. Production will cover travel, room & board and per diem, and pay.
NEW YORK CASTING - Today November 10, 2007 (1PM - 6PM)
For the New York casting, Winsome Sinclair & Associates will be casting FEATURED extra roles for the new feature length film ''Pinkville''. There will be an open call for talent held on Saturday November 10, 2007 at Club Stereo 512 West 29th St. between 10th & 11th Aves. from 1pm to 6pm.
Those interested in being a part of this film should attend and bring a recent headshot/snapshot and a pencil. If you are interested but unable to attend, please email photos ASAP to: Pinkville_NyExtrasCasting@yahoo.com
MEMPHIS CASTING - Saturday November 17, 2007 (1PM - 6PM)
For the Memphis casting, Men ages 20-50 who think they could portray a soldier in Stone's ''Pinkville'' are invited to a casting call at FedExForum from 1 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 17.
The office of U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Memphis, will also work to expedite passport processing for anyone cast in the film who doesn't have one.
Good luck!!!
