NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum’s ‘Fighting’ Knocks Out the Competition on DVD & Blu-ray

Channing Tatum's 2009 action movie 'Fighting' was released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US and Canada last month. According to Rentrak (a company that provides sales data to the entertainment and media industries), the movie debuted at No. 1 in Blu-ray Disc sales, No. 2 in DVD sales, and is also currently the No. 2 DVD rental.

Writer and director Dito Montiel brings the action in 'Fighting', a gritty story of a small town boy who becomes a street fighting star in New York City's underground circuit.

'Fighting' stars Channing Tatum, Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard ('Iron Man', 'Crash', 'Hustle & Flow'), Zulay Henao ('S. Darko') and Luis Guzman ('War'), and is about Small-town boy Shawn MacArthur (Channing Tatum) knows firsthand that every day in New York City is a struggle to survive.

When scam artist Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard) gives him a chance to be something more in the brutal underground world of bare-knuckle street-fighting, Shawn decides that he has something worth fighting for and puts everything on the line to win. Every knockout brings him closer to the life he's always wanted, but also traps him in a dangerous web he can't escape.

The film that Pete Hammond of Hollywood.com calls "a total knockout" has two versions on one disc; the theatrical version plus the unrated cut with even more ferocious fighting!
