People.com Tells Us How to Get Our Hands on Channing Tatum
People always wonder how I find a lot of the news I post here on CTU. I actually get the info from lots of different sources (i.e. Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Deadline Hollywood, IMDB, Channing, Channing's mom, Jenna, films, fans....). The list is extremely long, but we get to thank my best friend Lis for sending me today's scoop via People.com.
Last month, I posted a first look at one of Channing Tatum's action figures for 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' from Toyfare magazine.
Today, People.com has posted a first look at what may be the final version of the action figures for Channing Tatum's "Duke," Sienna Miller's "The Baroness," and Dennis Quaid's "General Hawk," and you can go to Access Hollywood to get the photos of all of the figures with their accessories (including Marlon Wayan's "Ripcord" and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje's "Heavy Duty"). You can also CLICK HERE to check out some of the new vehicles from the toy line via Wired.com.
Channing (whose figure comes with weapons and dog tags) is one of only five 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' stars to have a Hasbro action figure modeled in their likeness.
The toys will be revealed at this year's Toy Fair exhibition in New York City, and Hasbro announced recently that the action figures will be released in toy stores a month or so before the August 7th release of the film.
For those who don't know, Toy Fair is the largest international toy trade show in the Western Hemisphere where the newest and hottest products in the children's entertainment marketplace are exhibited. It is the premier meeting place for manufacturers, retailers, importers, licensors and reps from around the world.
Toy Fair 2009 will take place February 15-18, 2009 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and showroom locations in the Toy District.
'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Said Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid. Fans can CLICK HERE to get a current list of the international release dates for the film.
