Poster for Channing Tatum's 'Battle in SeattleI know you're all waiting on my LA trip recap, and I promise to give it to you this weekend. In the meantime, I have some other Channing Tatum news that I want to share...

Channing Tatum's film 'Battle in Seattle' is currently scheduled for a limited release in the US, and they are still working on getting international distribution deals overseas.

The film will definitely be premiering in various cities across this country on September 19, 2008, but before that, the film is going to throw it's proverbial hat into the political ring at this year's Impact Film Festival

The Impact Film Festival (IFF) is a four-day event held during the 2008 Democratic and Republican Conventions in Denver and Minneapolis. IFF will showcase two to three socially-themed documentary and dramatic films per day and feature panel discussions with an engaging mix of filmmakers, entertainers, lawmakers and other civic leaders.

These screenings are open to Convention attendees, delegates and a limited number of the public, on a first-come, first-served basis and are free to anyone who attends. To make a reservation for a particular screening, click on the appropriate links below:

Redwood Palms, the company that is producing the film, sent me the final poster for the film, which is what you see above. In addition to Channing Tatum, the ensemble film stars Charlize Theron, André Benjamin, Martin Henderson, Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta, Michelle Rodriguez, Jennifer Carpenter, Tzi Ma and Joshua Jackson and was written and directed by Stuart Townsend.

The film takes an in-depth look at the five days that rocked the world in 1999 as tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in protest of the World Trade Organization. What began as a peaceful protest intended to stop the WTO talks quickly escalated into a full-scale riot and eventual State of Emergency that squared off peaceful and unarmed protestors against the Seattle Police Department and the National Guard.

Fans can check out the trailer below and more movie stills HERE. Again, 'Battle in Seattle' hits limited theaters on September 19, 2008. You can also CLICK HERE for a complete list of cities where the movie will be released and to buy your tickets.
