NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum's 'DEAR JOHN' Novel #1 on New York Times Best Sellers List

The Nicholas Sparks paperback book 'Dear John' has been re-released just in time for the theatrical release of Channing Tatum's upcoming movie 'Dear John' and has now hit #1 on the New York Times' Paperback Mass-Market Fiction best seller list! The highly-anticipated romantic drama will hit theaters on February 5, 2010 and tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation.

‘Dear John‘ is based on a Nicholas Sparks book by the same name, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December 2008.
