Today is another red letter day in Channing Tatum Unwrapped history, because exactly two years ago today, I posted the very first article on the CTU blog. So just in case you missed you it, here's a quick recap on what has happened at CTU in the last year, and in some cases, since the site started....

My goal each day is to have at least one post every day and for the second year in a row, I'm happy that I've been able to exceed that goal. I also want to thank readers who have taken the time to send in photos, videos, information, and fan encounters. Your contributions have been invaluable and help make this site what it is today. With 4 movies coming out, I'm sure that 2009 is going to be a busy year for both Channing and CTU, so stay tuned!!!

Chat Box Posts: 306,032
Fans from all over the world hang out on the CTU CBox all hours of the day and night. You all have continued to use the chat box to make friends, stay connected, and gossip about your lives, Channing, Jenna, and almost anything else you can imagine. Amazingly, the CBox continues to average 946 posts a day and gets 2,969 views every day.

Visitors: 789,050
This past summer, I started the new site ChanningTatumUnwrapped.com, so the traffic number above includes visitors to the new site and the blog. I could not be more happy, because CTU (the site and the blog) managed to double its traffic from 2007 to 2008. In the past two years we have had well over 1 million visitors on the sites. With all of the new movies coming out in 2009, there is a good chance we'll break the million visitor mark in a single year.

Page Views: 1,199,586
Each time someone views an article or the main page of the sites, it registers as a pageview, so thanks to everyone who has been really busy reading what I've been unwrapping every day to the tune of well over 1 million pageviews in 2008.

Feed Subscribers: 1785
Readers who don't want to miss any of the articles or photos I post daily on CTU have been subscribing to the Channing Tatum Unwrapped Email and RSS feeds. I also recently added the new Jenna Dewan Unwrapped Email and RSS feeds for fans who want to stay up-to-date on her projects, her life, and her latest photos.

MySpace Friends: 39,354
It's been an incredible year for CTU on MySpace. Channing Tatum's official profile was nominated for the first ever Choice MySpacer Teen Choice Award, and we grew from 4,300 friends to almost 40,000 friends in 2008. The profile was viewed over 400,000 times last year (drastically up from 75,000 in 2007) and during the 'Step Up 2: The Streets' release last February, was getting 1000 new friend requests a day at times. Incredibly, you all have also left over 5,790 comments on the profile this year. Thanks to everyone for your support!

Facebook Friends: 26,361
I started Channing's new official fan page on Facebook last April and it's been a very active site from day one. With over 26,000 thousand friends, the site has been growing by leaps and bounds, and I'm sure will continue to grow in 2009.

Gallery Photos: 6,729
The Channing Tatum Unwrapped Photo Gallery has grown from 3,700 photos to over 6,700 photos in the past year. The gallery was accessed over 250,000 times and all of the photos were viewed over 4 MILLION times last year. In addition to new photos, we have also added a new CTU Wallpaper and 2009 Channing Tatum Calendar set for fans last year.

Videos and Favorites: 163
Much like the photo gallery, the Channing Tatum Unwrapped YouTube Video Channel has grown a ton this year thanks to fans, films, and Channing himself. I don't think any of us will forget the biggest online dance battle EVER that was started by Jon M. Chu and Adam Sevani. It was also great when 'Step Up 2: The Streets' director Jon Chu made a special video for CTU readers and answered your questions about the film and when 'Battle in Seattle' created this and this exclusive clip for the site with some of Chan's footage from the film. My hands down favorite this year is the special video Chan created just for CTU while he was filming 2009's 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' in the Czech Republic. You can check it out below:

The channel (which has been viewed over 90,000 times) jumped from 94 to 1,638 subscribers and from 39 to 867 friends in 2008 and fans currently view our videos approximately 15,000 times every single day!!

Contest Winners:
One of the things I love to do on CTU is give away prizes to the readers. We continued to have different contests each month where readers around the world have won free Channing Tatum DVD's and autographed photos and magazine articles. We started our Biggest Fan Contest, Birthday Program, and CTU Fan Club in 2008 and continued our tradition of choosing Fabulous Fan Spotlighters who have won custom Channing Tatum posters. Soon, I'll announce the next big contest, so make sure to keep checking back!

I also have to thank Channing, Jenna, Chan's family, and their films for everything they have done for CTU this year. In return for your continued and welcomed support, I am always looking for ways to make this site even better, and I can promise that 2009 will be no different.


2009 and Beyond

Like 2007, 2008 was a year of unplanned and really cool surprises. From attending private 'Stop-Loss' screenings before the movie was released and press junkets with director Kimberly Peirce to our Teen Choice Award Nomination and getting to attend the event with VIP passes to hanging out with Kimberly, Chan, Jenna, and Chan's mom Kay in Los Angeles to being chosen as an IMDB news partner, it's been a pretty awesome year.

I have already laid the seeds to work even more closely with Channing's 2009 films so CTU readers can get the latest news and inside scoop on his movies. I'm also hoping that 2009 will be the year that I finally bring CTU to the red carpet of one or more of Chan's premieres. That's been a goal of mine for a while, so I'm going to work really hard to bring it to fruition this year.

What will CTU look like in another 12 months?

• The site will continue to inform Channing and Jenna's fans around the world and help you all to support their careers as they climb up the Hollywood ladder through their many projects.


• I also hope to bring fans even more behind-the-scenes or insider information about Channing, Jenna, and all of their projects.


• I want CTU to continue to be a vibrant, growing community full of fans who appreciate Channing and Jenna for the talented and really sweet people they are.
