VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Channing Tatum in 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date'

As I previously posted, Channing Tatum decided to flex his comedic chops in the next installment of one of HitRECord.org's most popular collaborations, 'Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny'.

HitRECord.org was started by Chan's longtime friend Joseph Gordon-Levitt and is a place where artists and filmmakers can post their work and then collaborate with a community of users who can contribute to the work by adding their own tweaks.

The new, unfinished film short is called 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo' and is a sequel to 'Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny'. It was written by Metaphorest, and stars Chan, Lexy Hulme (aka Lula) and Joe as Lionel, Destiny, and Morgan.

Now that they've finished shooting the "white walls" version of the video, the HitRECord.org community will collaborate to create the remaining special effects (e.g. art work, visuals, animation, music, etc.) for the film.

Without further ado, the "white walls" version of 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo'...

Although Chan has said he's more comfortable in dramatic roles, I would love to see him in more comedy in the future. Until then, stay tuned to CTU and I'll post future incarnations of 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo' when they're released!

On a related note...Chan has been posting some more of his own work on HitRecord.org over the past few days. Check out an original writing, an oration of Metaphorest's "Mister White Rabbit", and (my favorite) a song he re-recorded when he couldn't sleep a few nights ago. Who knew he could sing too! Make sure you check it all out!

VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: ‘Dear John’ Press Tour and ‘Step Up’ Favorites

Most of today's Videos of the Week are related to Channing Tatum's highly successful new movie 'Dear John', which released in the US, Canada, and a few other countries on February 5th, just released in South Africa today, and has a sneak preview in Indonesia this weekend before it's official February 25th debut in that country.

We also have a video that was submitted by Fabulous Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum fan Trecia T., and it's an oldie, but goodie, from their 'Step Up' days. Enjoy!

First up, we have what is hands downs my #1 favorite interview that Chan and co-star Amanda Seyfried did during the 'Dear John' press tour.

It was done on the Toronto leg of the tour, and you may recognize interviewer Jessi Cruickshank from "The Hills", "The City", and "Laguna Beach" after shows on MTV. I've learned that you can always count on Jessi for a laugh, and this interview was no different...

One of the questions I see most often from fans is "What is that song in the 'Dear John' trailer?". As most of you now know, the main song in the trailer is Snow Patrol's "Set the Fire to the Third Bar" featuring Martha Wainwright. The film released a music video for the song with footage of Chan and Amanda from the movie. Fans can watch it below...

After Chan's hilarious Chelsea Lately interview, he headed on over to Rogue for Jonesy's Jukebox for a much more laid back interview with Steve Jones, the co-founder of the Sex Pistols (a popular 70's rock group). Listen in as they talk about Chan's provocative interview with Chelsea Handler, his love for football, the south, becoming an actor, and everything in between...

In this last 'Dear John' video, we have a quick PopSugar report on their coverage of the San Fransisco press tour stop where Chan and Amanda made fans really happy by passing out lots of hugs at the event and where Chan first introduced fans to his new site PostThelove.com.

You even get a glimpse of Chan's friend and business partner Reid who was there to get footage for the Post The Love "I Love You" video that Chan made for fans to help launch the site (which currently has well over 6000 thousand members)...
Chan's press tours have gotten so huge over the past three years, that it's impossible for me to cover every single interview, but here's a few more that I thought you might like...
If you missed any of my articles on the press tour, no worries. You can CLICK HERE to read all of them and HERE to check out hundreds if photos from the entire tour.

Last, but definitely not least, we have the Ciara Featuring Chamillionaire - Get Up music video submitted by fan Trecia, and here's what she had to say about why she loves this video...

"I really like this video because well, for obvious reasons, both Channing and Jenna are in it! =D I still remember the first time I've ever watched this video. It was when "Step Up" was released back in 06' and was making a huge splash on Asian shores. Then, one day, while I was flipping through some channels on TV, and I saw this video. I didn't know who Chan and Jen were back then, and I remember thinking, "oh, who's that cute guy in the video? And both of them can really dance!"...I almost gave "Step Up" a pass but this video made me change my mind! What with the black outfits and dancing in the rain, they make dancing so damn sexy! So, I watched the film and guess what? I totally fell head over heels in love with it. I bought the DVD and the soundtrack, and you don't even want to know the number of times I have watched this film. (hint: Its a 2 digit number!) Anyway, all I want to say is, if its not because of this video, I would have missed out on a great film and I won't be typing this out at this very moment. =)"

BIG thanks to Trecia for your submission!! If you have a favorite video that you would like me to consider, send a link to the video to votw@channingtatumunwrapped.com and tell me why you like it. I will post it and your explanation on the blog.

VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: Chan and Jenna at Dizzy Feet, Madeo, and Strikeforce

Today's Videos of the Week show Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum walking the red carpet at the Dizzy Feet charity event, leaving their favorite Italian eatery (Madeo in West Hollywood), and getting interviewed at yesterday's Strikeforce Evolution weigh-in. Enjoy!!!

Submitted by CTU reader Brandi, here's Chan and Jenna taking pics on the very crowded red carpet at the Dizzy Feet Foundation Inaugural Celebration of Dance fundraiser at The Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on November 29th...

In the next video, X17 caught Chan and Jenna as they left Madeo in West Hollywood where they had dinner with Chan's team (i.e. publicist, agent, manager, attorney). I think I even caught a glimpse of UTA head James Berkus. You can check out Chan and Jenna in the video below, and I also just added pics of the couple at Madeo to the CTU Photo Gallery too...

Finally, we have a new interview that Chan did yesterday at the Strikeforce Evolution weigh-in in San Jose where he's supporting his good friend, 'Fighting' co-star, and MMA legend Cung Le. Check out the interview below...

UPDATE (12/19/2009): CLICK HERE to see a photo of Chan sitting next to Cung Le's wife at Cung's Strikeforce Evolution fight.

In today's Videos of the Week, we have a new interview that 'Step Up' gals Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Briana Evigan, and Sharni Vinson (who you see in the above photo taken by director Jon M. Chu with Channing Tatum in the background) did backstage with Chris Trondsen of Pacific Rim Video at the Dizzy Feet Foundation charity gala.

Nichelle Thrower of the dance crew We Are Heroes also joins in the conversation before the girls go onstage at the Koday Theater in Hollywood to perform this past Sunday. Check out the new video interview below...

When Jenna started her career as a professional dancer, she worked for various famous performers such as 'N Sync, Diddy (or whatever he's calling himself these days), Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Pink, Missy Elliott, Ricky Martin, and Janet Jackson, just to name a few. Thanks to a tweeter with an eagle eye who spotted Jenna in Missy Elliott's "Gossip Folks" video, you can check her out in the video below. Enjoy!

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Channing Tatum in ‘The Trap’

Today's Video of the Week is Channing Tatum's 2007 movie 'The Trap'. The film was created for the 2007 Glamour Reel Moments short film series, was directed by Tom Hanks’ wife Rita Wilson, and stars Jeanne Tripplehorn, Aisha Tyler, Camilla Belle, Gia Carides, Johanna Day, and Greg Butler.

It tells the story of a middle-aged woman named Maggie (played by Jeanne Tripplehorn) stuck in a rut and afraid to take risks, until one day, she does. Maggie’s journey of self-discovery begins with a shaky start when she pulls up to an address in a seedy part of town. But after an unforgettable night of opening up to unexpected possibilities, her life will never be the same again.

Ironically, the DVD for this movie released via Clinique makeup counters when I visited Chan on the New York set of his film 'Fighting'. He hadn't seen it yet, and I had just picked up my copy the day before, so he watched it on his laptop in the set trailer. My claim to fame is that I showed him his own movie for the very first time. I know. I'm completely lame, but it was still pretty cool.

Without further ado, 'The Trap'...

Glamour Reel Moments is an award-winning short film series inspired by essays written by Glamour magazine’s readers, who dramatized their real-life moments. The goal of Glamour Reel Moments is to create new opportunities for women to get behind the camera and direct a short film for the first time.

The 2007 series included short films by first-time directors Rita Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, and Kate Hudson, and in addition to Channing Tatum, stars top talent such as Jeanne Tripplehorn, Winona Ryder, Chevy Chase, Dakota Fanning, Virginia Madsen, and Kurt Russell.

Thanks to @JolindaDanielle for asking about the film, thus giving me the idea for this post!

If you have a favorite video that you would like me to consider, send a link to the video to votw@channingtatumunwrapped.com and tell me why you like it. I will post it and your explanation on the blog.

CHANNING TATUM & JENNA DEWAN VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: Fan Tributes to Chan and Chenna

Today's Videos of the Week were created by Fabulous Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Fans and Youtube users twiLover093 and jackss911music. You all can check out their awesome tributes to Chan (which uses one of my favorite songs, "No Air" by Jordin Sparks) and our favorite couple Chenna below. Enjoy!!!

Thanks to twiLover093 and jackss911music for creating the great videos!

Chan also wanted me to let ya'll know that he's a bit backlogged on completing autograph requests. His fans are extremely important to him and he actually signs all of the autograph requests himself. No stamps are ever used. He's been away promoting 'G.I. Joe' and filming 'Eagle of the Ninth' since late July and has gotten a little behind on the responses. Chan promises to get caught up when he finishes filming in the next few weeks, so thanks for everyone's patience.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Official Trailer for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried's 'Dear John'

The wait is OVER CTU readers!!! Sony has finally released the official trailer for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried's highly-anticipated romantic drama 'Dear John', and I can't stress enough how in love I am with this trailer!!! So worth the wait!

'Dear John' tells story of John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation.

Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John's increasingly dangerous deployments. While meeting only sporadically, they stay in touch by sending a continuous stream of love letters overseas--correspondence that eventually triggers fateful consequences.

Today's Video of the Week is brought to us in high-def by TrailerAddict.com. Enjoy!

For those who are curious, the main song used in the trailer is "Set the Fire to the Third Bar" by Snow Patrol and Martha Wainwright.

'Dear John' will hit theaters on February 5, 2010. In addition to the official poster that I posted earlier this week, fans can CLICK HERE to check out behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film and can CLICK HERE to get even more news from the various 'Dear John' filming locations.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Artist on Artist with Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller

Today's Video of the Week is an Artist on Artist interview from Myspace I just found where Channing Tatum and his 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' co-star Sienna Miller interview each other during the press tour last month. It's a cute interview where Chan even throws in his notorious "Kung Fu" knee grip on an unsupecting Sienna at the end of the video. If you're ticklish or have any feeling at all in your knee, it's been known to disable grown women, such as myself, in a single pinch. Enjoy!!!

Thanks to Myspace for the shoutout to Chan's official page!

You can check out a ton of the photos of Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, and the cast 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' from the world-wide press tour that took them from Australia to the UK, France, Germany, Asia and back to the US to promote Chan's film in the CTU Photo Gallery.

CHANNING TATUM & JENNA DEWAN VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: The Ricky Martin Edition

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan in Ricky Martin Videos

News has been a little slow lately and whenever that happens, I start digging into the vault for article ideas. In yesterday's hunt I found something, and I'm really not sure how I missed this in my past searches.

Most of you know that Channing Tatum got his start in the biz in Ricky Martin's music video "She Bangs" (you can see Chan getting his makeup done in the behind-the-scenes photo his mom sent me above), but did you know that Jenna Dewan was featured in Martin's video "Juramento"(aka "The Way to Love")?

Yet another thing the two have in common, in addition to the fact that the heat level in both videos is through the roof! It's almost not even fair to have that much hotness in one marriage. ;-)

Jenna told me that, even though the video was...

"Soo grueling to shoot..over 24 straight hours, desert heat, heels..I had to ice my feet for 2 days after! Ricky Martin is the best though. Very sweet, down to earth."

You can check out Chan and Jenna in today's Videos of the Week blast from the past. Enjoy!

If you're not able to watch either of the videos above because of copyright restrictions, you can CLICK HERE to watch "Juramento" and HERE to watch "She Bangs" on Ricky Martin's Youtube Channel.

If you have a favorite video that you would like me to consider, send a link to the video to votw@channingtatumunwrapped.com and tell me why you like it. I will post it and your explanation on the blog.

VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans Let Loose on the 'G.I. Joe' Press Tour

Channing Tatum's action film 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' has already grossed over $200 million world-wide in the last two weeks, just premiered in India, Israel, and Greece this week, and will premiere in Croatia, Cyrpus, and Romania next week. Today's Videos of the Week are from the recent 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' press tour.

The first video shows Chan and cut-up Marlon Wayans (who's one of Chan's best friends and was a groomsman in his wedding to Jenna Dewan last month) beat-boxing, free-styling, and starting a G.I. Joe vs. G-Unit feud with 50 Cent on Sirius' RadioPlanet.tv. Chan barely gets a word in edge-wise over always-animated Marlon, but the interview's HI-larious!!! Enjoy!

In the second video, Collider.com interviewed Chan at the Los Angeles premiere of 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra'. They talked to him about two of his upcoming projects, the Nicholas Sparks romantic drama 'Dear John' (out in February 2010) and the Roman Empire drama 'The Eagle of the Ninth' (which Chan is currently working on in Hungary). Enjoy!

CHANNING TATUM VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: Bama News Report & ‘G.I. Joe’ Premiere Interviews

The first Video of the Week below is special for many reasons. First of all, it was submitted by Channing Tatum's mom Kay. Secondly, it features Chan's favorite place in the world, the family that he's extremely close to and those who knew CHAN way before any of us knew CHANNING TATUM.

If you read Chan's recent interview in the August issue of GQ, then you're familiar with his uncle Bruce. Bruce is Kay's brother and in her own words, she only has "one sibling and he is the best I could have asked for." In the WSFA news report below, meet uncle Bruce and the family and learn why Wetumpka, Alabama is the place where Chan will always go to get away from the world and remember his humble roots...

Here's the article that accompanied the video above...

"Wetumpka, AL (WSFA) - GQ FROM BAMA: It's tough to miss him these days, but nobody would have ever guessed Channing Tatum would have been a world wide superstar. He grew up in Cullman, lived in Tampa, loved visiting his uncle's ranch and Wetumpka, and even played a little college football. But then something happened that turned the country boy Chan into a young man who's now larger than life.

"He's a country boy at heart," said his uncle Bruce from his 300 acre ranch in Wetumpka. Chan spent a lot of time here as a kid, riding horses, fishing, just having fun. And if you question how much this place means to him, he told GQ magazine to come to Wetumpka to interview him and the family for his big story.

So how'd he get here? After quitting college football, Chan did some construction, worked at a perfume counter a Dillard's, took a shot as a model, and before you know it he was in commercials. It was a big surprise to uncle Bruce when he was watching TV one night. "We were watching TV and I was like, man that's Chan." Now it's tough to miss him wherever you look. He's starring in the new GI Joe movie and has several more lined up back to back after that. Uncle Bruce believes in Chan. "As long as he keeps his feet on the ground, and he'll do that, I've never seen him not get up and take a picture or sign an autograph."

As for his love for Alabama, his whole family came out to Malibu for the big wedding in July. He tied the knot with an actress he met while filming Step Up. The first song at the wedding, Sweet Home Alabama.

His cousins think it's weird to see Chan in a movie, it's not how they'd act with him at uncle Bruce's ranch. But they've learned to separate the actor Channing Tatum from their country boy Chan. Uncle Bruce sums it up like this: "He's always Chan, and he'll always be Chan."

I also found a couple more videos from the Los Angeles the premiere of Chan's film 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' that I wanted to share. The first video is TV Guide's "Big Movie Premiere" show that features interviews with Chan, his wife Jenna Dewan, and the cast of 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' at the New York press junket and the Los Angeles premiere that capped off their world-wide press tour. In the second video, we see Chan, Jenna, and their family arrive at the premiere and it also shows Chan interacting with the fans at the event. Enjoy!

Big thanks to Kay for letting me know about the great Wetumpka interview! 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' is still the number one movie in the world and just premiered in Sweden, the Czech Republic/Slovakia, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Denmark, Iceland, & Norway this past week. Fans can CLICK HERE to buy tickets TODAY!

If you have a favorite video that you would like me to consider, send a link to the video to votw@channingtatumunwrapped.com and tell me why you like it. I will post it and your explanation on the blog.
