Guests at the star-studded party included celebrities like Kirsten Dunst, Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell, Diane Warren, Rita Wilson’s husband, Tom Hanks, Martin Short, Dennis Miller, Tobey Maguire, Laurie David, Bryce Dallas Howard and Chevy Chase.

CTU NEWS: Win a Magazine Personally Autographed by Channing Tatum!!!

Being Channing Tatum's official site definitely has its privileges! Thanks to Chan and his mom Kay, I now have 8 magazines personally autographed by Channing in my possession and done exclusively for his official site, Channing Tatum Unwrapped. So I am excited to say that I can now start giving the issues away to lucky CTU readers!

I sent Chan a total of 8 magazines with articles about him in them (which included issues of People, GQ, Vanity Fair, VMan, Interview, and Esquire) less than two weeks ago. Even though he is extremely busy filming his latest movie 'Fighting' in New York, he very quickly completed his signing task and got the magazines right back to me. I really would like to thank Chan for that!

Below you can see the message that Chan left for me in the October 2007 issue of Esquire magazine. Needless to say, you would have to pry that issue out of my cold, dead hands, but lucky for you all I have 7 other awesome magazine issues that I will be giving away to readers over the next few months. :-D

I have decided that one of the magazines is going to Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan and avid CTU reader Naz from London, England. Naz was chosen to receive a signed magazine, because she recently volunteered to help with a big project that Channing Tatum Unwrapped has coming up soon, and she is also extremely involved in the CTU community on a daily basis. Congrats, Naz! Thank you again for volunteering your time!

For the rest of the CTU readers, I want to announce the first autographed magazine give-away contest...

To celebrate the release of Channing Tatum's latest movie 'The Trap' (which has its premiere today at the Director's Guild Theater in Los Angeles, California), I want to give away the following autographed magazine. Notice the cute note that Chan took time to write on the article in addition to signing his autograph:

October 23, 2006 Issue of People Magazine

As I said before, Chan's movie 'The Trap' will premiere today. The Rita Wilson directed film, will be available for a limited time at Clinique counters all over the US October 13 and 14 (this Saturday and Sunday). For Channing's many US and international fans, the film can also be seen on GlamourReelMoments.com and Clinique.com beginning October 15.

If you would like to win the autographed magazine shown above, please send an email with your full name and mailing address to contests@channingtatumunwrapped.com on or before October 14, 2007. Your mailing address will only be used for the purpose of shipping the magazine to you. Your address will not be given to anyone or used for any other purposes.

I will do a random drawing and will announce the winner on the blog on Monday October 15, 2007.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!

Channing Tatum's New Interview in Fall/Winter 2007 Issue of VMan Magazine

In a previous post, I told you about Channing Tatum being in the latest issue of VMan Magazine. Well, I was finally able to find of the issue and now we have another great interview from Channing in the dual-covered Fall/Winter 2007 issue of VMan.

We learn some of the following interesting facts about Channing Tatum:

  • How Channing has a fascination with soldiers,
  • How he's not a very "political" person, but manages to play a lot of very political people in films (i.e. 'Battle in Seattle', 'Stop Loss'),
  • How even though he has not always wanted to be in movies, acting is now truly his obsession,
  • How he gets teased about the infamous rooster modeling picture,
  • Why you should never call him a "former" model, and
  • How he has a great idea for a musical that he would also like to play in one day.
It's a great interview that gives us another glimpse of who Channing is. You can click on the high quality scans below to view the beautiful photo shoot and to read the entire article. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

You will soon find all of the magazine scans in the Magazine Scan Set of the Channing Tatum Unwrapped Photo Gallery.

Since filming just recently wrapped, it seems that the 'Step Up 2: The Streets' production team is busy answering fan questions about the upcoming sequel to Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's hit dance movie 'Step Up'.

They just posted an answer to a forth fan question on their official site. Isabelle from Kirkwood, Missouri had the following question...

Cassie, who also sings the movie's catchy theme song "Is It You", answers that question in the following video. You can click here to check it out or you can play the video below:

You can also use the MP3 player below to listen to the movie's theme song sung by the talented Cassie:

CTU NEWS: Why It's Great to be a Channing Tatum Fan and Part of the CTU Family!!!

It's always good to be a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan, but there are some pretty amazing perks to being a Channing Tatum Unwrapped reader too.

This great graphic was made by CTU readers from 7 different countries (US, Bulgaria, England, Germany, Phillippines, Japan, and Belgium) in I don't know how many different time zones who wanted to wish fellow CTU reader Marlie from New York a happy birthday today.

They even took the time to stage their very own virtual party on the chat box to present it to her, and I could not have been more proud of the huge gesture they made to get this gift to Marlie.

Not only do you get the hottest news in Channing Tatum's world here on CTU (Chan's official site), but one of the biggest benefits that I hear and have experienced myself has been the friendships that are made between people that may not have met because they live in completely different countries around the world.

We may all come from different walks of life, are different ages, live in different time zones, and practice different cultures. We may not even speak the same language sometimes, but none of that seems to matter, because we are all certified Chanaholics and that is the one thing that makes us all the same.

The gift that my readers and Chan's fans made today for a friend in New York City that they have never met in person made me even more proud of the CTU community.

We say it all of the time on the chat box and in the CTU forum, but we really are a family and I am truly blessed to be a part of it. Thank you all for that and I look forward to many more years of all the "GROUP HUGGGGSSSSSSSS" on the CBox that are thrown my way.

LUV YOU GUYS!!! HUGGGGGSSSSSSS!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARLIE!!! :-D

NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum May Soon Get His First Producer Credit

Channing Tatum's meteoric rise from a successful model to a highly sought after actor seems to have happened over night and now he may be adding the highly coveted title of producer to his resume with a new film called 'The Plucker' that New Line Cinema has recently optioned.

Variety.com is saying that Channing actually introduced the book that the movie will be based on to the producers of the film and may be receiving producer credit for his contributions to the project.

I don't know a lot about the movie making business, but I am pretty sure that getting producer credit is not a small thing, so I just want to congratulate Chan on making this type of step so soon in his career. As far as I'm concerned, this is yet another sign of Channing's staying power in the entertainment industry.

Here is the complete Variety.com article that explains in more detail:

New Line Toys with Brom's 'Plucker'
Godfrey, Bowen, Thoren to produce film
By Michael Fleming

New Line Cinema has optioned "The Plucker," an illustrated novel by Brom. Temple Hill Entertainment partners Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen will produce with Terry Thoren.

Published in 2005 by Harry Abrams, "The Plucker" revolves around a toy jack-in-the-box that awakens beneath its owner's bed and realizes it has been relegated to a place where undesired playthings go to die. There, he discovers the Plucker, a malevolent spirit from a mysterious new toy that has evil designs on the young owner of the toys.

Brom, an artist who began his career as a commercial illustrator of novels, role-playing games, videogames ("World of Warcraft") and such films as "Sleepy Hollow" and "Van Helsing," made "The Plucker" his first illustrated gothic tale. He followed it with "The Devil's Rose," described as a Western set in hell.

Studio is looking for a director. Godfrey and Bowen were introduced to the book by actor Channing Tatum, who'll likely take some producing credit.

New Exclusive Pictures of Channing Tatum Behind-the-Scenes on 'Fighting' Set

Through this blog, I have been extremely lucky to meet a ton of amazing people via the internet, and I'm not just talking about Channing Tatum, his mom, and his friends. I am also talking about the fans that take the time to read the blog everyday and who I have become friends with over the last 9 months.

As luck may have it, my new friend Max who is an established New York actor was cast as an extra on Channing's new movie 'Fighting' after I told him about one of the casting calls for the film. To return the favor, he promised to get me exclusive pictures with Channing on set, and I am happy to say that he is definitely a man of his word.

What you see here are some absolutely gorgeous pictures of Channing with Max and another person named Frank on the set where they filmed a club scene yesterday in the Chelsea area of New York, which is also where they are filming all day today (10/2).

Channing Tatum on the Set of 'Fighting'

Max and Channing on the Set of 'Fighting'

Frank and Channing on the Set of 'Fighting'

Max tells me he walked up to Channing and said,"I think you know my friend Quishe. She's the moderator of your official site Channingtatumunwrapped.com." He said Chan put on a big smile and said,"Wow, I have to meet her." (Well, I can definitely say that I have never agreed with Channing more!)

As if that wasn't enough to make me float on cloud nine (since as you all know I am a huge fan), Max then proceeded to tell Chan that I had told him about the casting and he wanted to return the favor with exclusive pictures for the site. A fact to which Chan says, "Heck yeah, man, of course."

Max also tells me what I've heard every single time fans encounter Channing Tatum on the streets, on the red carpet, on the set, or anywhere else for that matter. He said that Chan was "SO SO SO cool", really friendly, and totally happy to pose for pictures.

So here's to Max for taking the time to get these pictures for me, and a HUGE thanks to Channing for being his normal really cool self and letting Max fulfill his promise to me. You both ROCK and absolutely made my day week month!!! (I would say year, but Channing asking CTU to be his official website wins that hands down.) :-D

NEWS FLASH: New 'Step Up 2: The Streets' Production Video and New Song on CTU MP3 Player

I was recently contacted by the 'Step Up 2: The Streets' promotional team. They were nice enough to let me know that the film's production team just posted an answer to a third fan question on their official site.

Clay from Kissimee, Florida had the following question...

"I just wanted to ask the crew of Step Up 2 The Streets if this movie is going to have the same storyline as the first movie did?"

'Step Up 2: The Streets' director Jon Chu answers that question in the following video. You can click here to check it out or you can play the video below:

Also if you've visited Channing Tatum Unwrapped on MySpace lately, you've heard the new song I recently added to the page.

It's yet another exclusive and unreleased song called "Hate to Love You" written and produced by up and coming and extremely talented Rialle who also happens to be a friend of Channing Tatum and his girlfriend Jenna Dewan. If you have been hanging out on CTU's chat box lately, you may have had the pleasure of meeting Rialle who is hands down one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

Since I last added her beautiful song "Take Him Away" to the CTU MP3 player, Rialle has been extremely busy traveling all around the world working on her new album with uber hot producers like Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Scott Storch.

I can also exclusively report that Rialle just found out she may get an opportunity to write and perform a song on the 'Step Up 2: The Streets' soundtrack and has been cast in a new dance movie called "Make It Happen" that is currently filming. In the midst of all of her travels, work with award-winning producers, and film projects, Rialle also manages to successfully run Samantha Jade's Official Fan Site and thus, is one of the hardest working people in showbiz.

You can check out Rialle's amazing voice and writing skills in "Take Him Away" and "Hate to Love You" by clicking on the mini-player below:

I have also added the song to the main CTU MP3 player that you will find on the left sidebar of each page on the site. Enjoy!

Thanks again Rialle for letting me include another one of your beautiful songs on the blog!

It was announced via a press release today from Glamour Magazine that Channing Tatum's new short film 'The Trap' will premiere in Los Angeles on October 9 at the Director's Guild Theater.

The Rita Wilson directed film, will be available for a limited time at Clinique counters nationwide October 13 and 14. The film can be seen on Glamour.com and Clinique.com beginning October 15.

You can read the entire press release below for all of the details about the three woman-directed films that were created by first-time directors Rita Wilson, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Hudson.

Glamour Reel Moments 'Happy' to Help A-List Women in Hollywood Get Behind the Camera

Rita Wilson, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Hudson Make Directorial Debuts For Glamour's Short Film Series, Presented by Clinique, That Promotes Women in Film

NEW YORK, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- GLAMOUR Vice President and Publisher
Bill Wackermann has announced Glamour Reel Moments premieres this fall in a
new and powerful incarnation. The films originate from Glamour readers'
real stories and feature leading Hollywood actresses directing films for
the first time. Glamour has hired Freestyle to develop and produce the
films. The series includes three short films presented by Clinique to be
released in October 2007.

The films were shot in Los Angeles this summer and the talent involved
is among the top of Hollywood's A-list. Kate Hudson, Kirsten Dunst, and
Rita Wilson, have directed shorts for Glamour Reel Moments, and the films
star Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Virginia Madsen, Chevy Chase, Kristen
Stewart, Winona Ryder, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Aisha Tyler, Camilla Belle,
Channing Tatum.

In a contest that appeared in the January 2007 issue, Glamour readers
were asked to write a short essay of 750 words or less, about an important
event, encounter or moment in their lives when something made them
victorious, empowered and happy. Three winners' stories have been chosen
and Glamour has partnered with Clinique to script, produce and screen the
three short films. The theme of this year's project is happiness,
celebrating Clinique's Happy fragrance, and the films all feature happiness
as a part of the storyline.

"Clinique Happy was scientifically tested to inspire happiness," says
Executive Director of Global Marketing for Clinique, Catherine Frieder.

"Like the fragrance, Glamour Reel Moments also creates happiness with
stories by, for and about women. These films remind us why we should feel
good and be Happy."

The films will premiere in Los Angeles on October 9 at the Director's
Guild Theater. Rita Wilson's film, "The Trap," will be available for a
limited time at Clinique counters nationwide October 13 and 14. All three
films can be seen on glamour.com and clinique.com beginning October 15.
This year, Glamour is expanding the project with two new efforts to
further encourage female directors and stories about women in the film
industry. The first is a Reel Moments filmmaking grant which will give one
female recipient in the industry the opportunity to make a directorial
debut along with the high-profile women involved in the project.
Additionally, Glamour is launching a Reel Moments summit which will reunite
alumni of the project and notable women in the industry to discuss topics
for women in film and identify the important stories about women that
should be told on the big screen.

"Glamour Reel Moments is continuing its mission to tell real women's
stories in Hollywood and promote women in film," says Wackermann. "By
creating first-time opportunities for women to get behind the camera, not
just in front of it, Glamour Reel Moments is increasing the number of
female directors in Hollywood," he added.

Glamour Reel Moments has established a genuine community of women in
Hollywood and increased the number of female directors, currently only 7%.
Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bryce Dallas Howard and Trudie Styler
have all made directorial debuts for Glamour Reel Moments which has
breached the gates of over 25 film festivals including Berlin and Toronto.
Oprah devoted an entire show to discuss the project's positive impact for
women in film.
