REMINDER: Buy Jenna Dewan’s ‘The Jerk Theory’ on DVD in Australia

Official Poster for Jenna Dewan's 'The Jerk Theory''The Jerk Theory', Jenna Dewan's romantic comedy with her 'Step Up' co-star Josh Henderson, was released for rental on DVD in Australia this past April. As of YESTERDAY Jenna's Aussie fans can now buy the DVD on sites like DVDOrchard.com.au and DevoteDVD.com.au.

In case you don't know, 'The Jerk Theory' is about an aspiring recording artist named Adam (Josh Henderson). When he is burned by a bad relationship experience, he decides that if women won’t respond to the “nice guy”, then he’ll be “the jerk.” He is extremely successful with meaningless relationships, but when Adam meets and falls for Molly (Jenna Dewan), who doesn’t fall for his jerk routine, Adam is forced to reconsider his dating philosophy.

Fans can watch the trailer below and can go to the Channing Tatum Unwrapped Photo Gallery to check out tons of promotional photos and behind-the-scenes pics of Jenna on set. We even have some cute photos of Channing Tatum on one of his visits to his fiancee's set. You can also get more info on the movie on 'The Jerk Theory's official site. Enjoy!

Finally, I also learned that Jenna's teen comedy with Rob Schneider, 'American Virgin', will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK in the next few months.

Here's what 'American Virgin' is all about...

After involuntarily over indulging and becoming drunk for the first time in her life, a freshman college girl (Jenna Dewan) discovers her sinful shenanigans have been caught on camera by a shoddy video producer. With her scholarship for college coming from an abstinence group who believe in no sex before marriage, it is a race against time and across country as she and her friends attempt to retrieve the potentially damaging footage before it is exposed.

The movie will be released on DVD on August 24, 2009 and the Blu-ray version will hit UK shelves about a month later on September 21, 2009. Fans can get more details at Lovefilm.com.

GIVING BACK: Jenna Dewan and Emmanuelle Chriqui Attend Raise Hope for Congo Event at Janes House

Jenna Dewan, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Carla Gugino Attend the Raise Hope for the Congo Event at Janes House (June 28, 2009) (Wallpaper)

Recently, I posted new photos and video HERE and HERE of Channing Tatum's fiancee Jenna Dewan and her best friend Emmanuelle Chriqui showing their support for the Raise Hope for Congo organization.

Today, I have even more photos of the two actresses as they attend last night's Raise Hope for Congo event at Janes House in Los Angeles, California. You can check out all of the new photos below...

As I mentioned in previous posts...A deadly war is raging in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and our insatiable demand for electronics products such as cell phones and laptops is helping drive that conflict. Eastern Congo is the most dangerous place in the world to be a woman or girl, and the sexual violence there is often fueled by militias warring over conflict minerals, the ores that produce tin, tungsten, and tantalum—the 3 Ts— that end up being used in our electronic devices.

Raise Hope for Congo is an Enough Project campaign from the Center for American Progress. While the Enough Project focuses on crises in Sudan, Chad, eastern Congo, northern Uganda, Somalia, and Zimbabwe, Raise Hope for Congo has a very specific goal of protecting and empowering Congolese women and girls.

GIVING BACK: Jenna Dewan Supports Cedars-Sinai Medical Center & Helps the Congo

Jenna Dewan at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center 2009 "Rock-N-Reel" Event (Wallpaper)

One of the many things I love about Channing Tatum's fiancee Jenna Dewan is her support of various charities that assist both women and children all around the world. I have new photos and a video of Jenna doing just that for the children affected by illness at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and for the women and children in the war-ravaged country of the Congo.

In the pics above and below, you see Jenna as she arrives at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center 2009 "Rock-n-Reel" Musical Extravaganza on June 14, 2009 at Culver Studios. The Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center honored Producer Alexandra Milchan-Lambert and Relativity Media President of Production Scott Lambert at their inaugural Rock-n-Reel event.

The afternoon celebrated the children who suffer from IBD and their families and featured a fun-filled day of activities including arts and crafts, interactive games, a beauty shop and sports bar as well as musical entertainment by Maroon 5's Adam Levine. In addition to Jenna, special guest stars like Taylor Lautner, Hayden Panettiere, Jason Biggs, and Sharon Stone also attended the event.

You can check out some beautiful red carpet photos of Jenna below...

As I previously posted, Jenna and her best friend Emmanuelle Chriqui recently attended a Raise Hope for Congo event, because Emmanuelle is a longtime supporter.

To give you a little background...A deadly war is raging in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and our insatiable demand for electronics products such as cell phones and laptops is helping drive that conflict. Eastern Congo is the most dangerous place in the world to be a woman or girl, and the sexual violence there is often fueled by militias warring over conflict minerals, the ores that produce tin, tungsten, and tantalum—the 3 Ts— that end up being used in our electronic devices.

Jenna and Emmanuelle have both created a new video to support the Enough Project, a project from the Center for American Progress to end genocide and crimes against humanity. Enough, focuses on crises in Sudan, Chad, eastern Congo, northern Uganda, Somalia, and Zimbabwe. Raise Hope for Congo is an Enough campaign to protect and empower Congolese women and girls.

You can watch their video below where they also recruited Jenna's adorable dog Meeka and two of Chan's best friends (Brett Rodriguez and Reid Carolin) to help educate all of us on the crisis in the Congo...

Thanks for CTU reader and Jenna Dewan fan Vanessa D. from Hawaii for sending me the new video!

QUOTES OF THE WEEK: Channing Tatum on Landing Serious Roles & Jenna Dewan on Embarrassing Love Scenes

Channing Tatum's Movies (Wallpaper)

In a recent interview, Channing Tatum sheds some light on how difficult it can be to land serious roles because his athletic appearance seems to fit the action movie mold. Chan, who is currently on the lookout for the perfect role to help him shed his action hero image, said...

"I don't get offered the lawyer roles because I've got a thick neck from playing football. Because I can run and jump and look more like a soldier or a football player than some people, those types of roles come more easily in my direction. I really have to fight for the gritty dark roles and I have to prove myself - I have to go in and audition just like everybody else...There's not a lot out there right now that's great. But thankfully I've got enough to pay my bills for a while. When that goes down I'll start freaking out then."

Jenna Dewan Photoshoot in Flaunt Magazine (Issue #75 June 2006) Wallpaper

Chan's fiancee Jenna Dewan was recently interviewed by FOX at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. She shared her "embarrassing" attempt to film love scenes...

"Embarrassing is when you get the giddy laughing fit at like 3 a.m. and they're on a budget and a time limit and they're looking at you like, ‘Jenna get it together!’...It’s really embarrassing, often I literally can't stop laughing."

...what she feels is her sexiest time of the day, and what she enjoys doing in her free time with Chan...

"I feel sexiest at night just after a bath when I’m about to go to bed -- something about that hour of the day... Channing and I are also big fans of lounging around, hiking and we have a lot of barbecues. We just like to chill and do nothing."

NEWS FLASH: Watch Jenna Dewan's 'Falling Awake' at the Brooklyn International Film Festival

Poster for Jenna Dewan's 'Falling Awake'I'm just learning that Jenna Dewan's new dramatic film 'Falling Awake', which was previously called 'Shine On', screened at the Boston International Film Festival on April 24th, the same day that Channing Tatum's film 'Fighting' hit theaters.

Even though fans may have missed that screening, you'll have another opportunity to see the film at the 2009 Brooklyn International Film Festival this weekend and in limited release in theaters later this year.

Here's the synopsis for the film...

"'Falling Awake' is the powerful story of Jay (Andrew Cisneros), a young man struggling to find his identity in The Bronx in a house crowded with family members and a neighborhood filled with loyal friends and dangerous enemies. A gifted musician, Jay hopes to leave it all and pursue his dream of composing and performing music. Once he meets Alessandra (Jenna Dewan), a beautiful young woman who lives in Brooklyn, his determination to defy the expectations of his frustrated, angry father become even stronger.

Jay is tied to his home through loyalty to his friends and to his brother, who has returned unexpectedly from service in the Marines. As he reaches toward a wider world, he is pulled back over and over by the cycles of anger and violence that have defined his life and neighborhood for so long. It takes love, a change of heart and a new understanding of life's elusive chance at happiness to finally help Jay make the long, uncertain leap to a fresh chance."

Below you buy tickets to see the film at the Brooklyn International Film Festival:

You can also check out Jenna in the powerful new trailer for the film below:

'Falling Awake' is directed by Agustin, produced by Andrew Adelson, and is Mega Films first English-language film. In addition to starring Jenna Dewan, the movie also introduces the talented Mexican-American actor/singer/songwriter Andrew Cisneros. Other notable cast members include Nestor Serrano ('Bad Boys', '24'), Julie Carmen ('The Milagro Beanfield War'), Nicholas Gonzalez ('Resurrection Boulevard'), Flaco Navaja ('Fighting'), Michael Rivera ('Fighting') and rap artist Kazi Rolle. The movie also features original music by Kevin Stuart and Andrew Cisnero.

"This film is about real people, real everyday struggles, and real love," said Agustin, the film's director and writer. "I knew the Bronx would be a natural setting that speaks to people no matter where they're from. We had an amazing experience making this movie and I hope audiences will feel the emotion and truth in it when they see the film."

After screening at various films festivals, 'Falling Awake' will be released in select theaters in New York City, Miami and Puerto Rico this September.

IN THE PRESS: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s Memorial Day on JustJared.com & ‘G.I. Joe’ on ET

Channing Tatum and Fiancee Jenna Dewan with Dogs Lulu and Meeka on Memorial Day

Yesterday Chan tweeted for the first time on his official Twitter to let us know his Memorial Day plans. Chan's historic first tweet said...

"Hey y'all..I know it's not that interesting, but we are cleaning the house on this memorial day weekend..Spring cleaning and running!"

Today we have pics from JustJared.com that clearly backup the running part of Channing Tatum's story and show him and his fiancee Jenna Dewan taking their dogs for a walk on Memorial Day in LA's popular Runyon Canyon Park.

In the new photos we even get a good look at Jenna's adorable dog Meeka that was a gift from Chan a little over a year ago and Chan's new puppy Lulu. As I previously reported, the lucky dog was about 7 weeks old when Chan rescued her from an Alabama dog sheltor last Christmas while visiting family and after filming wrapped on ‘Dear John‘.

You can check out all of the new photos in the slideshow below:

Finally, I want to let you all know that Chan and the cast of the highly-anticipated summer blockbuster 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' will be featured on tonight's ET. You can check out an article from their website and some footage from tonight's upcoming interview below...

Channing Tatum and the 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' Cast Featured on ET (May 26, 2009)It's heroes vs. villains in the all-new, live-action adventure 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,' in theaters August 7, and we're with four of the film's stars -- Sienna Miller, Marlon Wayans, Rachel Nichols and Channing Tatum -- who are lucky to be in one piece after filming some of the movie's more spectacular stunts!

"I think the craziest one I did, they strapped me to the front of a Humvee going about 60 miles per hour swerving through the streets of Prague, which is doubling for Paris," says Channing, who plays Duke. "It was good, though -- didn't get hurt, thank God."

Everyone had to get in tip-top shape for their roles, and Marlon, who plays Ripcord, says, "We all worked out really, really hard. … When you're playing a Joe, you've got to be a Joe."

"We did six weeks of fight training, so we did it the healthy way," add Rachel and Sienna.

Based on the beloved Hasbro toys that became a comic book and cartoon sensation in the '80s, 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' stars Dennis Quaid as Hawk, the tough team leader of G.I. Joe, an elite, globetrotting unit that takes on the evil Cobra Organization.

"It's a real fast-paced sort of thrill ride," says Rachel, who plays Shana "Scarlett" O'Hara.

Sienna, who wore a black wig for the movie as The Baroness, confirms, "It was not a dye job. This is an old-fashioned tale of good versus evil, and historically the good guys tend to be blonde, and lighter, and the bad people tend to have black hair, like witches -- it adds to villain-esque behavior. And also, she's a very famous character within the cartoons and there's a specific way that she looks, the same with Scarlett with the red hair, and so we had to be true to the characters the way they were created."

ET surprised the cast with their own action figures from the movie, and Marlon pointed out that when he was a kid, "I didn't have money for G.I. Joes and fancy dolls that could move and articulate all their fingers and limbs. I had money for the 99 cent [version]."

"But now he does [have money], so he's got all of them," says Channing.

"Now you get to be a doll," adds Rachel.

"Holla!" says Marlon with a high five.

Here's the video...

Watch ET tonight for more with the stars of 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra'!

CTU EXCLUSIVE: Hanging Out With Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, and the Family at the 'Fighting' Premiere

CTU Webmaster Q, Jenna Dewan, Channing Tatum, Dad Glenn, and Mom Kay at 'Fighting' Premiere After-Party

I've often compared my time here at CTU to my favorite childhood story "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" where I play the role of Charlie, Channing Tatum is the incomparable Willy Wonka, and all of my excursions to sets, press junkets, and awards shows are stand-ins for the priceless Chocolate Factory tour.

CTU has been pretty much a fairly tale for me and attending the April 20th New York premiere and after parties for 'Fighting' with Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, and their families can now be added to the long list of incredible and surreal experiences I've been lucky enough to have because of this site.

So here's the blow-by-blow for my latest Tatum-inspired adventure...

CTU EXCLUSIVE: Ticket from the 'Fighting' PremiereThe week before the premiere I received an email from Chan's publicist's office letting me, Chan, his parents, managers, agent, etc. know where we should pickup our premiere tickets. To be included in that particular group of people was undoubtedly one of my high points here at CTU, and to say that I was excited would most definitely be an understatement.

Attending a movie premiere is one of those things I've had on my bucket list since Chan invited me to the set of 'Fighting' a couple of years ago.

Going to premieres may be old hat to people in the entertainment industry, but I'm a newbie. Since I had never been to an event like this and didn't know what to expect, I was really nervous and could barely sleep the night before. The only thing that comforts me when I'm nervous is to arrive early so I can get the lay of the land.

When I arrived in New York a few days before, the weather was perfect, 80 degrees and sunny. On the day of the premiere, it dropped down to 46 degrees and rained all day, but absolutely nothing could spoil my excitement. Not knowing how the weather would affect my trip into the city from where I was staying with my best friend in New Jersey, I had my car service drop me off at the Regal Union Square Stadium Theater two hours early.

Channing Tatum at the New York Premiere of 'Fighting'In those two hours, I met reporters and security guards and watched the crew as they physically sewed the red carpet down outside under a heated tarp that would soon be filled with reporters, celebs, publicists, film execs, and family and friends.

Chan's parents had arrived in New York City the night before. On the night of the premiere, his mom Kay texted me to let me know that they would be on their way soon, so I picked up my tickets from will call. My best friend arrived around 6pm, and we waited for Chan, Jenna, and his family.

Jenna came through the doors at the end of the red carpet first, looking even more flawless than you can imagine, and let me know that Chan was taking photos with his parents outside. She then made a beeline over to the fans across the room who were patiently waiting to get autographs. Everything happened so fast that my pics were a bit blurry as she happily interacted with the excited fans. I was able to get a quick video as she walked back in my direction to wait for Chan and his parents. You can checkout the video below...

While we waited, she introduced me to one of Chan's friends, Caleb, who's a model and actor in New York and came out with them to attend the premiere. We stood around talking until Chan's parents finished taking their red carpet photos and came inside.

As always, it was really great to see Chan's mom Kay again, but this was my first time to meet Chan's dad Glenn. He's such a sweety and gave me a big hug. Behind-the-Scenes of the Premiere for Channing Tatum's 'Fighting' Not that I didn't know this before, but it's quite clear when you meet his parents that Chan comes from extremely good stock. They all have always treated me like family and that means more to me than almost anything else that's happened with this site.

After finishing up a ton of interviews on the red carpet, Chan finally made it into the lobby of the theater. Again, things were moving really quickly and his handlers were trying to move him upstairs where more interviewers were waiting for him.

Chan's mom preceded to get his attention and let him know that I was there. Although he had zero time, we were only able to talk for what seemed like seconds before he was pulled away up the escalator to finish up everything he had to do before the film could start.

'Fighting' Premiere: Regal Union Square TheaterOnce Chan went upstairs, we all followed so we could take our seats inside the theater and watched the movie. I have to take a minute to apologize for not being able to send more tweets on Twitter during my time at the premiere. The phone reception was really bad and then my battery died. I can't do anything about the reception issue, but I will make sure to take my charger next time.

I actually didn't have tickets to the after party, so Chan's mom told me to find them after the premiere, because Chan would want me to attend whether I had tickets or not. As instructed, I tracked them down (after running into the HILARIOUS grandma from the movie) and to my surprise, they made room in the family car so I could go with Chan, Jenna, Kay, Glenn, and Caleb to the after party. That was definitely one of the many surreal things about the entire night and meant so much to me that they would allow me to ride along with them.

Channing Tatum at 'Fighting' Premiere After-PartyThe after party was held at the Marquee lounge in Manhattan where club scenes from the movie were shot. You can CLICK HERE to see hi-res photos of the inside of the lounge.

As we walked through the doors, I was greeted by one of the security guards I had met at the theater and had a Cheers moment when he belted out "HEY, Q"! as we all entered the room. Led by Chan's publicist, we proceeded to the back of the club to go up to the second level where they had tables setup for the actors, main crew, and their friends and family.

At the bottom of the stars we were stopped by another security guard who requested our tickets. As I said before, I did not have after party tickets and in addition to that, Chan's parents had forgotten theirs at the theater. What I learned is that none of that matters when you travel with the Tatums. Chan's publicist preceded to let the guard know that we were "Channing's family" and didn't need tickets. Surreal moment number 10,543 in CTU history...

We headed on upstairs to a packed room full of people and were lead to a large booth with a sign that said "TATUM" in the middle. We all sat down to enjoy the party. Not surprisingly, Chan was the man of the night, so everyone wanted to talk to him. After weeks of doing press, you would think that he would have been tired, but adrenaline from the excitement of the premiere kept him upbeat as he chatted with and took pictures with party guests for much of the night.

Rick Genow and Zulay Henao at 'Fighting' Premiere After-PartySo here's where I have to explain why all of my photos from the after party look as if they were taken by someone sitting in a booth and just randomly raising their arms to snap a photo of people passing by or standing next to the table. They look like that, because that's exactly what I did, and I dare any of you to say you would have done anything different.

As far as I'm concerned, I had the best seat in the house. I sat in the center of the booth flanked by Chan's parents and Chan and Jenna. I was truly in fan heaven and the only time I got up from said seat was when Jenna, Kay, Glenn and I all went to the buffet to get food for ourselves and Chan.

Kay even offered to get up with me so I could take photos of others in the room, but I respectfully declined. I then let her know that everyone who was truly important to me was sitting in that booth and there was no need to move. I sat there and talked to Jenna about her Dad who was trying to make it into town despite the bad weather, to Chan about his favorite Cuban restaurant in New York, and we all took photos of each other on our various cameras.

Jared from JustJared.com and UTA Co-Chairman Jim Berkus at 'Fighting' Premiere After-PartyI was so committed to my seat that I didn't even get up when my blogging idol Jared from JustJared.com walked by the table towards the end of the party, because he was trying to get a photo with Chan and Jenna for his popular celebrity news site. I just called out his name and introduced myself to let him know I was a fan of the his blog.

So I have to apologize that I did not get more photos of others at the party. I promise to try to take off my fan hat next time and venture out a bit more. You can see all of the photos I took at the premiere and the first after party in the slideshow below:

Before Chan's parents left, Kay made sure to introduce me to Chan's team, so I was finally able to meet his managers, agent, and attorney. Although it may seem strange, I always assume that people don't know about the site, so I was surprised when Chan's managers and agent let me know how much they liked it and how much they all appreciate what I do here at CTU. Channing Tatum's Agent Louise Ward at 'Fighting' Premiere After-PartyIt was a great feeling and also meant a lot to me.

As the after party was wrapping up, I was invited to go to the after after party. Since Kay and Glenn had left earlier, we had a little more room in the car that was quickly filled with Chan's friend Reid (one of the screenwriters from 'Stop-Loss' and a partner in Chan's new production company) and a friend from High School and his wife.

We all left Marquee and piled into our Hybrid SUV so we could head over to the lounge at the hotel where Chan and Jenna were staying. I hung out with Chan, Jenna, their friends, Jenna's dad (who was going to attend the premiere, but got held up by bad weather) and some of the actors from the film like Zulay Henao, Cung Le, and Brian White. Once my car service arrived around 3am, I knew my chocolate factory tour was coming to an end yet again, and I sadly had to say my goodbyes to Chan, Jenna, and their friends so I could head back into the real world.

Below you can check out a video of Chan and Jenna saying bye to Jenna's dad, taking photos, and signing autographs for fans outside their New York City hotel later in the week...

'Fighting' premiered in the US and Canada on April 24th. The movie hits UK theaters this past Wednesday, and was released in Ireland, Spain, and Malta May 15, 2009. The movie will premiere in the Netherlands next on May 21, 2009. Fans can go to the CTU Calendar to get a current list of international release dates for the film.

Needless to say, it was an incredible night and more than I ever expected. Honestly, that always seems to happen when the Tatum's are involved. I've been lucky enough to really make some good friends and Chan, Jenna, and his parents go out of their way to make me feel like family whenever I'm around them. No one ever said that they had to do that, but it's just who they are and I love them for it.

Two years ago, I was just a woman with a little blog. CTU's not so little anymore, but more importantly, I've gained some really great friends. I want to thank Chan, Jenna, Kay, Glenn, and Chan's publicist Evelyn for allowing me to attend the event. It was an unforgettable experience. It may have been my first premiere, but I'm definitely hoping it won't be my last.

Finally, I want to say that I also had a great time hanging out with CTU readers Marlie and Kerline the day before the premiere. Thanks to you both for taking the time to meet up with me while I was in town!!!

RUMOR OR REEL?: Channing Tatum Addresses the Twilight Rumors

Channing Tatum (in his Adriano Goldschmied Men's Protégé Jean in 25 Years) and his fiancee Jenna Dewan (in her Current Elliott Boyfriend Jean in Super Loved Destroyed) were leaving the Sunset 5 theater in West Hollywood on Sunday after seeing 'Star Trek' when they were approached by tons of fans and paparazzi wanting photos and autographs.

They gladly obliged, and Chan addressed the Twilight casting rumors I mentioned on the blog a little while ago. Check it out in the Hollywood.TV video below...

In the video, Chan says he learned about the rumors like most of us...by reading them online. Wonder if he read it here on CTU? ;-D

However he learned about it, doesn't really matter. What we do know is that, although 'Twilight' and 'New Moon' screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg thinks Channing is the perfect actor to play the role of Riley in 'Eclipse', Chan has not been formally offered the part...yet.

From the hundreds of comments that fans have been leaving on all of the CTU sites, it's quite clear to me that you all want to see him in this role as much as (or maybe even more than) the screenwriter does.

The one thing I've learned from doing CTU is that ANYTHING is possible. If fans keep being vocal about it, you never know what could happen, so don't give up hope!

Jenna Dewan's Bestfriend Emmanuelle Chriqui Attends Kat Kramer's "Films That Changed the World" Presents "Yentl"Last week Channing Tatum's fiancee Jenna Dewan attended a screening for a great cause with her best friend, actress, and activist Emmanuelle Chriqui.

The RAISE Hope for Congo campaign was highlighted at the world premiere of Karen and Kat Kramer’s Screening Series, ‘Films that Changed the World,’ on Saturday, April 18. Thanks to CTU reader Vanessa, I can also share an interview that Jenna did with RealTVFilms at the event where she talks about many of her upcoming projects. Enjoy!!
