NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum Featured in GQ's 2007 Men of the Year Issue

Today GQ Magazine announced the honorees for the magazine's twelfth annual Men of the Year issue, which features the three separate covers you can see below.

It should be no surprise to CTU readers that Channing Tatum was chosen as GQ's Man of Next Year. With at least 4 movie releases in 2008 alone and an ever-growing list of films in the works, Channing is going to have a banner year next year, and I'm sure this will be one of many awards bestowed upon him in the near future.

Today GQ also sent me a sneak peak of the covers for the December 2007 issue of the magazine. This year's honorees were selected from the worlds of politics, motion pictures, and hip-hop and the December covers showcase an impressive trio of gentlemen. Former president Bill Clinton, producer/hip-hop artist Kanye West and actor and new James Bond star Daniel Craig head up this year's group of honorees.

CTU NEWS: New Exclusive Song on the Channing Tatum Unwrapped MP3 Player and Interview Sneak Peek

So if you've visited Channing Tatum Unwrapped on MySpace lately, you've heard the new song I recently added to the page.

I was so in love with the song called 'Take Him Away' that I asked Rialle (the artist who wrote, arranged and produced the song) if she would allow me to add it to the Channing Tatum Unwrapped MP3 player and she said yes!

This is an exclusive, because the song has not even been released yet and just possibly may be the first single on the album that Rialle is currently working on. I hope you all like the song as much as I do!

I have also added the song to the main CTU MP3 player that you will find on the left sidebar of each page on the site. Enjoy!

I met Rialle through Josh (Channing and Jenna's good friend who sends personal pics on behalf of the couple to CTU) and she is also friends with our favorite couple Chenna. Rialle was able to get to know Jenna threw her music, and from what I understand, Jenna is a a big fan. Once you hear Rialle's song, you'll really understand why.

In addition to creating my new favorite song, Rialle is also helping me secure my next celebrity interview with an actor who has worked with Channing Tatum in one of his recent movies.

BLAST FROM THE PAST: Channing Tatum Is Having a Moment

Here is one of my favorite stills from Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's dance movie 'Step Up'. It was also taken during my all time favorite dance movie scene.

More importantly, it's an Ultra High Quality (UHQ) picture that allows you to see pratically every beautiful little hair follicle growing out of Channing's head.

Believe it or not, I recently found this and 86 other high quality images of Channing from lots of different movies, photo shoots, and public appearances. I'm in the process of uploading them to the photo gallery and I will make a post today or tomorrow to let you know when I am done. Just consider this image a sneak peak.

In my never-ending search for anything Channing-related, I also found this old Entertainment Weekly article that was published on my birthday last year (August 25, 2006) a few weeks after 'Step Up' was released.

It's another short interview, but I highlighted in red the part that kind of caught my attention. Hopefully I'm not the only one who gets the well-placed double meaning in Channing's answer. If I am, then shame on me. Enjoy! :-D

But the Florida native is most excited about shooting Boys Don't Cry director Kimberly Peirce's long-awaited, untitled follow-up film. Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan Encounter Interview with Josy

One of my goals with this blog is to help connect Channing Tatum fans and let you all get to know each other a little better. Everyone has their own story about why they are a fan and some of the lucky ones have even met Channing in the flesh. I found one of those lucky souls in one of the Channing fan groups on MySpace.

In Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan Josy's own words, here is her description of her lucky encounter with Channing Tatum last year when he was promoting She's the Man in New York:

[CTU] Where were you when you met him?
[JOSY] I meet alot of celebrities at various places but I met channing at a TV Studio here in NYC, where he taped an appearance on Daily Download.

[CTU] When did this happen?
[JOSY] In 2006, When "She's the Man"came out.

[CTU] What was your impression of Channing?
[JOSY] He was incredibly sweet and completely overwhelmed at how many people knew him & fought for a picture with him.

[CTU] How long did you talk with him?
[JOSY] For a few mins. My two friends and I talked to him about how we saw his Mountain Dew Commerical and looked him up. He was really sweet. He was laughing at the craziness of every girl screaming their head off and causing a scene right in the middle of the sidewalk.

[CTU] Did he give you an autograph?
[JOSY] No, I'm not into autograph. It's just a scribble on a paper. It's much more personal to have a picture.

[CTU] What was he wearing and/or what was his style of dress?
[JOSY] Grey T-Shirt and a Camo hoody. He was dressed pretty casual. Daily Download was on an alternative music channel, so he didn't have to dress up too much.

[CTU] Did he smell really good?
[JOSY] Yeah, he really did.

Thank you so much Josy for telling all of us about your encounter with Channing. I can't even express how jealous I am and I am sure that I am not alone. Channing is known for being really friendly and gracious with his fans and Josy's encounter just reinforces that.

I am so excited and I just wanted to let you know that thanks to Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan and CTU reader Saitaka from Tokyo, Japan, I am in the process of posting new pictures of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan at a recent public appearance in Japan.

CTU SNEAK PEEK: Exclusive Battle in Seattle Gift to CTU from MovieSet.com

No this adorable little 6 year old is NOT Channing Tatum when he was a little boy, although I am sure he was almost as cute. This actually is one of my beautiful little boys (aka Bry) sporting the AWESOME limited edition Battle in Seattle production crew cap that Clay over at MovieSet.com so graciously sent me. Since Bry is such a cutey, I figured you wouldn't mind that Channing was not in this one picture.

The exclusive cap was given to the production crew of Channing Tatum's movie Battle in Seattle. The inset shows Bry with his "tough guy face" and the back of the cap.

I am totally giddy right now, because I have never owned anything that was part of an actual movie before. And if you can include an inanimate object in the whole six degrees of Kevin Bacon game between me and Channing Tatum, then my cap was intended for a person who worked on Channing's movie Battle in Seattle and one or more of those people worked with Channing Tatum.

You know someone had to film him, feed him via craft services, hold the boom above his head, do his makeup, help him get into and out of his riot gear :-), wipe the sweat off his brow, and an assortment of other jobs I wish I had on Channing's set.

I am not totally sure, but that seems like four degrees of separation from me to Channing Tatum, [me-->>cap-->>production crew person-->>Channing]. That's as close as I've ever been to the uber hot actor, so I'll take it.

CTU SNEAK PEEK: New Channing Tatum Pictures on MovieSet.com for Battle in Seattle

I absolutely always love writing this blog, but it's days like this when I feel like a kid in a candy store.

I thought I was happy when I find out that Channing had signed on for his new action film, but now I know true happiness....here is a wonderful gift sent to me by my awesome friend Clay over at MovieSet.com.

As you can see, this is a gorgeous new still of Channing Tatum in his upcoming movie Battle in Seattle that should have it's theatrical release some time later this year.

Here are my thoughts on this photo...I am pretty sure it is a requirement in Channing's contracts that he go shirtless at some point in almost every movie he is in. My questions is: is Channing naked in this picture? I can't wait to see the movie so I can figure it out. :-)

CTU SNEAK PEEK: A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints Themed Club Nights for UK Fans

Calling ALL UK A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints fans! Listen Up. The Revolver Group, the AGTRYS distributor over in the UK, sent me more inside scoop on what they are going to be doing for Channing Tatum fans and general fans of the movie in the UK.

My sources say that they are going to make a BIG announcement soon on what they are calling "SAINTS Themed Club Nights". The details are a little sketchy right now, but they told me that they will be giving away prizes to people who attend these events. So stay tuned to Channing Tatum Unwrapped and we will give you all of the details as soon as they send them to us!

All I can say is that I wish I lived in the UK. If you are truly a Channing fan and are anywhere near any of the AGTRYS events or movie showings, I sincerely hope that you attend. At the very least, go for me and then send us pictures of everything, so I and other fans around the world can live vicariously through you!! That is your mission if you choose to take it on. :-)

CTU SNEAK PEEK: A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints Club Pack for UK Channing Tatum Fans

I want to give you a sneak peek of a new club for Channing Tatum's Fabulous UK Fans and anyone in the UK that loves his movie A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints.

As you know, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints will have its theatrical release in the UK and Ireland on March 2, 2007. Revolver Entertainment, the UK distributor of AGTRYS, contacted Channing Tatum Unwrapped to let me know that they are offering AGTRYS fans in the UK a chance to have their own SAINTS club pack.

The pack includes stickers, posters, and postcards for the movie. If you and your friends are as close as Dito, Antonio and the rest of the SAINTS, then all they want you to do once you receive the club pack is email them photos of you and your friends using it. The best club pack photos will win some really great prizes.

If you live in the UK and want a SAINTS club pack, email your address to info@revolvergroup.com so they can mail it to you. Once you receive it, send the photos of you and your friends using it to info@revolvergroup.com and they will contact you if you win the photo contest.
