It was really difficult to find only ONE picture of Chan I like the most, but from the beginning of my searching I stayed focused on She's The Man picture. I dare to say that She's The Man has a much bigger impact on me than on anyone else. Few years ago it made me realize who I really am and it gave me one important truth to follow in my life - when I do everything I could for my dream to come true it's worth it. Not to mention that every time I watch it, it cheers me up and gives me hope I need so much in my life. It also taught me to be great by following the words Chan says in the scene this picture is captured from. 'Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon.'Thank you Chan for being so inspiring in my life.

Okay...to be completely honest, I don't know why this pic grabs my attention so much. It just...does. Maybe it's his eyes. Or his expression. I don't know, but I have fallen in love with this picture. I can't look away no matter how hard I try. I'll just say it's his smile, and leave it at that. (shrugs)

IN THE PRESS: Channing Tatum in May 2008 Issue of Seventeen Magazine

If you check out the latest issue of Seventeen Magazine you'll find Channing Tatum in their Love Life section in an article called "Class of 2008". Coincidentally, the cover of the popular US mag features his 'She's the Man' co-star Amanda Bynes.

In addition to Chan, the article also features popular artists and musicians Zac Efron, Chris Brown, Pete Wentz, Brody Jenner, Drake Bell, Bow Wow, Chace Crawford, and Shia LaBeouf.

Channing's photo in the article was taken when he attended the GQ Magazine 50th anniversary party last year in New York City right before he started to film his upcoming movie 'Fighting'. 'Step Up 2: The Streets' Jon M. Chu and Adam "Moose" Sevani Wage War Against....Miley Cyrus?

From what 'Step Up 2: The Streets' director Jon Chu is telling me, he and Adam "Moose" Sevani have waged a war against America's sweetheart (aka Miley Cyrus) and her best friend and YouTube video show co-host Mandy.

Why, you may ask? Believe it or not, it's all in the name of dance. Jon's officially taking the dance contest out of the streets and has ingeniously moved it over to YouTube.

Here is Jon's passionate battle cry for what he calls "THE BIGGEST ONLINE DANCE BATTLE EVER":

Adam Sevani (Moose) and I and a bunch of the SU2 crew as well as our friends have challenged Miley Cyrus and Mandy to an ONLINE DANCE BATTLE!!!

In all seriousness, I LOVE Jon's passion for anything and everything dance. It's a huge reason why Channing Tatum's certified dance hit 'Step Up 2: The Streets' has grossed over $118 million worldwide and why I truly hope that Disney brings Jon back to direct 'Step Up 3-D'.

His energy and creativity seems to be boundless, and I can only imagine what kind of ideas he's cooking up for his upcoming pitch to Disney. How I would love to be a fly on that wall. Although he did not say it, I'm thinking this battle may even have a little something to do with it.

When it comes to Jon, you just never know, but I do know that I can't wait to see if Miley takes him and Adam up on their CHALLENGE (pronounced with over exaggerated, fake French accent). I'll keep you all posted. ;-D

NEWS FLASH: New Soundtrack, Interview, Review, and Message from Channing Tatum's 'Stop-Loss'

I rarely win anything, so I was completely surprised when a producer from Channing Tatum's new movie 'Stop-Loss' contacted me to let me know I was one of the lucky winners of the autographed poster contest they recently had on their Facebook fan page.

I was even more excited when I received the poster and realized it was signed by director Kimberly Peirce and actors Channing Tatum, Ryan Rhillippe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Victor Rasuk, and Rob Brown. It's definitely a keeper, but you may just be able to get your very own poster and help a child in need at the same time.

If you would like to get your own autographed 'Stop-Loss' poster, I learned today that one similar to mine is being auctioned off by an established Ebay charity called Variety's Kids. Via a company called MissionFish, Ebay guarantees that 100% of the proceeds of the sale will be donated to the charity whose mission is to assist addicted, abused, neglected and physically-challenged children. One of the really great things about 'Stop-Loss' is that director Kimberly Peirce has been extremely active in the community that has developed on the movie's official website and on their Facebook and MySpace pages. She sent out the following message to community members today::

Many people have asked me how soldiers are responding to the movie. You can certainly see some of it by looking at these comments.

I also found a great review of the film from Mark Biskeborn at Los Angeles-based CityZine.com.

'Stop Loss' is a film required viewing for anyone with a heart-beat. Its emotional drive keeps your pulse racing. You could go watch a flick about a bank robbery or a border crossing…but, hey, that’s been done before.

Though highly entertaining, the story carries us far beyond mere cinematic amusement, its characters deal with high stakes of country and duty, life and death, family and identity, love and self. Its narrative handles the complexity of how red-blooded Americans are coping with the war in Iraq. The otherwise uninvolved civilian audience, we step quickly inside the lives of patriotic soldiers who care about their country and learn the hard way that good intentions and innocence hardly suffice as a compass through the big world. It helps us all to take a look at who we are as Americans regardless if we’re in or out of small-town USA, liberal or conservative....

In the movie’s 112 minutes much happens in non-stop dramatic action. I highly recommend this film, we don’t have time to miss it.

NEWS FLASH: New Poster, Trailer, Film Festival, and Nomination for Channing Tatum's 'Battle in Seattle'

MovieSet.com just let me know that the US trailer for Channing Tatum's upcoming drama 'Battle in Seattle' has now been released. They also sent me the new poster for the film, which you can see on the right.

Based on one of the most incendiary political uprisings in a generation, 'Battle in Seattle' takes an in-depth look at the five days that rocked the world in 1999 as tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in protest of the World Trade Organization.

What began as a peaceful protest intended to stop the WTO talks quickly escalated into a full-scale riot and eventual State of Emergency that squared off peaceful and unarmed protesters against the Seattle Police Department and the National Guard.

In addition to the new trailer and poster, I also learned from Leigh at Michelle-Rodriguez.com that 'Battle in Seattle' is going to open the 34th annual Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF). Director Stuart Townsend, Charlize Theron and Martin Henderson are all scheduled to walk the red carpet at the festival's opening-night gala at 7:30pm on May 22, 2008 at McCaw Hall in the Seattle Center.

SIFF is the largest and longest-running film festival in the country and runs from May 22 - June 15, 2008. The complete festival schedule will be announced May 8th, but you can CLICK HERE to learn more and buy tickets to the BIS screening.

Today it was also announced that 'Battle in Seattle' has been nominated for a Leo Award in the Feature Length Drama category. The awards ceremony will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008 in Vancouver, BC at the Westin Bayshore. You can CLICK HERE to see the rest of the nominees.

'Battle in Seattle' is truly an exceptional film, and I know this is just one of many nominations the movie will receive before all is said and done. Channing Tatum is Declared the HOTTEST MAN ALIVE!!!!!

Not that we needed anyone to tell us Channing Tatum is #1 on the hottie scale (in addition to being extremely talented), but it's nice to know that the rest of the world is in agreement.

Fabulous Channing Tatum Fans everywhere should pat yourselves on the back, because WE DID IT!!!! After almost 100 potential certified hotties and 1000's upon 1000's of votes, Channing Tatum has now officially been declared the HOTTEST MAN ON THE PLANET by KJ103 in their 2008 March MAN-ness contest!!!

The competition was tough, but Chan beat out Amaury Nolasco, Taye Diggs, Orlando Bloom, Gale Harold, Brad Pitt, and Wentworth Miller in each of the rounds to win his well-deserved title.

I can't thank everyone enough for all of your votes. I also want to clear something up. KJ103 actually did not create the doctored photo of Chan's final round competitor. I learned today that a Wenworth Miller fan actually sent in the photo where Wentworth's head was Photoshopped onto David Beckham's body. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The radio station says they didn't realize the farce before they posted it, and since Chan was winning by such a landslide, they didn't bother changing the picture. In the end, the bate and switch routine didn't work anyway, so all's well that ends well. In case you're wondering and for the record...Chan ended up with well over 70% of the votes.

This experience of bonding together for our favorite cause has been so much fun. Here's one important thing I've learned...Don't mess with a Chanaholic.

Honestly, the contest was over as soon as we all started voting last week. I can't wait until Chan gets nominated for a People's Choice award or any other award that allows his fans to contribute. There truly is power in numbers and Chan's fans turned out in droves to help him win.

Before this contest, I knew that Channing had some of the best fans in the world. Now, more than ever, I know how committed you all are and that's why I love doing this site so much. Thanks to all of you...

March MAN-ness FINALS...Help Channing Tatum Win Hottest Man Alive Contest!!!!

NEWS FLASH: New Release Date and Location News for Channing Tatum's 'Public Enemies'

It's been a while since I have updated everyone on Channing Tatum's upcoming film 'Public Enemies'. Although Chan has not started filming yet, because he's been working on 'G.I. Joe', the production has been going full steam ahead all over the Midwest with A-List stars like Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, and Marion Cotillard.

Universal recently announced that 'Public Enemies' will be released in theaters on July 1, 2009. With an A-List cast, a huge budget, and a 4th of July weekend release, I think the movie has officially earned its summer blockbuster status.

As I previously mentioned, there's been a lot going on with the movie. They filmed in 20 degree weather with Johnny Depp and hundreds of fans in Crown Point, Indiana March 24th - 26th at the old Lake County Sheriff's House and Jail where Johnny re-inacted the March 3, 1934 Dillinger escape from the Crown Point jail.

The production then moved to Chicago on March 27th where they filmed night shoots with Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, and Rory Cochrane in the Clark, Sheffield, and Newport areas. In the photo on the left, you can see the 1930's shanty town the production created under a section of Chi-town's famed elevated train in a neighborhood called Lakeview near the Wrigleyville area of Chicago.

They also converted a large portion of the block to look like Chicago in the 1930's, which included fake cobble stone streets like the previous shoots in Columbus. The street lamps were replaced with old-fashion, gas-lamp lookalikes, and they placed several vintage cars on the street. They are even having old train cars run on one of the tracks of the elevated. The film crew and cast have now moved to the Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora, Illinois for today and tomorrow. The historic location originally opened in 1931 and was the first air-conditioned movie palace opened outside of Chicago in Illinois. It will be used as a stand in for Chicago's Biograph Theater in the film.

Just to give you a little background, John Dillinger (Depp) was killed by federal agents as he stepped out of the Biograph Theater on July 22, 1934. It was chosen by Paramount, because they liked the beauty and historical accuracy of the theater for the time period. Designed by nationally renowned theater architects C.W. and George L. Rapp, the gorgeous theater is a hybrid of Art Deco and traditional French Renaissance style.

Next they are supposed to film in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, which will fill in for the March 6, 1934 Sioux Falls Security National Bank and Trust robbery where Dillinger and his gang stole almost $50,000. Reportedly pre-production and filming will take place in downtown Oshkosh from April 10 - 20. Actual filming is set to start April 11th and will last approximately two days at the Old First National Bank on Main Street.

On or about April 29th, the production will head back to Columbus, Wisconsin to film again for a day or so. About the same time, they are also scheduled to film in downtown Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The lobby of The Rogers, which opened in 1928 and is formally known as Hotel Rogers, will be used for the shoot. Maple Avenue and Spring Street will be shut down for filming.

It's also been announced that John Dillinger’s November 20, 1933 bank robbery in Racine, Wisconsin where his gang robbed the American Bank & Trust Co., wounded two people, and took another 3 hostage will be shot at the Milwaukee County Historical Center. Based on reports, the production is supposed to also head to the following locations soon:

• Richland Center, Wisconsin
• Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin (Little Bohemia Resort)

Since the last post about this film, they have added a ton more cast and crew. Academy Award-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal will reunite with director Michael Mann, 13 years after his score for Mann's popular action thriller 'Heat'. Mann's films are known for having an eclectic soundtrack, so we should expect different kinds of music in addition to the original score by Elliot Goldenthal in the final cut of the film.

As far as casting is concerned, Variety recently reported that Billy Crudup has been chosen to play FBI director J. Edgar Hoover and Stephen Lang will play Winstead, the leader of the Texas Rangers who joins the manhunt for John Dillinger and his gang. Rory Cochrane is playing agent W. Carter Baum. Gangsters Ed Shouse and Tommy Carroll will be played by Chicago actor Michael Vieau and Spencer Garrett.

Channing Tatum Videos of the Week: First Look at 'Battle in Seattle' Trailer

Today's Video of the Week is the long-awaited trailer for Channing Tatum's upcoming drama 'Battle in Seattle'. 'Battle in Seattle' is scheduled to release in theaters in the US in September 2008. The movie is also currently making the film festival rounds. NEWS FLASH: Learn to How to Dance from 'Step Up 2's Adam Sevani (aka Moose)!!!

One of the break out actors in Channing Tatum's uber successful dance hit 'Step Up 2:The Streets' was the incomparable Adam Sevani (aka Moose). If you're also a fan of the young and extremely talented dancer and happen to be near Jacksonville, Florida tomorrow, then you're in luck!

I just learned that Adam will be giving a dance class and signing autographs tomorrow (Saturday, April 5, 2008) for fans at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

If you would like to participate in or just watch the class, send an email to masterclasses2008@live.com or class@channingtatumunwrapped.com for a registration form.

The event costs $35 if you want to take the class, and it costs $10 for those who just want to watch. The class will be held from Noon until 3pm at the following location:

March MAN-ness...Fans Help Channing Tatum Break Into KJ103's "Fine 4"

Congrats to all of Channing Tatum's Fabulous Fans all around the world who voted for him (continuously in many cases) all day yesterday in KJ103's March MAN-ness contest where we're helping them choose the Hottest Man on the Planet for 2008 (aka Channing Matthew Tatum).

You all proved that Channing Tatum's fans are a force to be reckoned with yesterday. Believe it or not, Chan started off the day with approximately 20% of the votes. That's until his fans started voting from every corner of the globe. Because of you all, Chan has now made it into the Fine 4 and I couldn't be more proud!!!

Ironically, he's been pitted (pun intended) against fellow hottie and Angelina Jolie squeeze Brad Pitt, the one actor that Channing is most often compared to in the press. Don't believe me? You can CLICK HERE to see some examples of that common comparison.

After being chosen for the top 64, Chan has now beat Amaury Nolasco to get into the Tempting 32, Taye Diggs to make it into the Sexy 16, Orlando bloom to get into the Exciting 8, and Gale Arnold to make it into the Fine 4.

Now we all need to help our favorite actor defeat the ever popular Brad Pitt so Chan can make it into the final round. You have until midnight on Sunday, April 6, 2008 to vote, so keep those votes coming in and show the world what Channing's fans are made of.

REMINDER: Channing Tatum's 'Step Up 2: The Streets' Premieres in Hong Kong, Hungary, and Slovakia TODAY!!!

I just wanted to remind all of the Fabulous Channing Tatum Fans in Hong Kong, Hungary, and Slovakia that Channing's hugely successful dance movie 'Step Up 2: The Streets' premieres in your countries TODAY!!!

The language barrier made it difficult for me to find a good site in Hong Kong to refer you all to, but I was able to find websites for 'Streetdance - Step Up 2' in Hungary and 'Let's Dance 2 Street Dance' in Slovakia.

I caught up with the movie's director and huge CTU supporter, Jon Chu, earlier this week, and he let me know that the film has now broken the $110 million dollar mark worldwide!!! Which is awesome for any movie, much less a sequel. Congrats to SU2!!!

People have literally been asking me about the 'Step Up 2: The Streets' DVD release since the day the movie came out. Although he's not sure, Jon thinks the DVD could be released in the US and Canada some time in the summer. He's currently working on the SU2 DVD, and he says there will be some really cool Easter eggs hidden in it.

Jon also mentioned he's in creative mode right now, since he will soon give his pitch to Disney so he can hopefully direct the third installment of the film, 'Step Up 3-D'. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for this talented director, and he's promised to keep us posted.

REMINDER: Channing Tatum's Movie 'Battle in Seattle' Showing at Florida Film Festival

Channing Tatum's upcoming drama 'Battle in Seattle' will be having it's east coast premiere at the close of the Florida Film Festival (FFF) this week.

FFF takes place from March 28 - April 6, 2008 and 'Battle in Seattle' will be shown again at 7:00 - 8:45 PM Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Regal theater.

March MAN-ness Continues...Channing Tatum Makes It to the Exciting 8!!!

I recently posted an article about Chan making it into the Sexy 16 for the March MAN-ness contest where Oklahoma's KJ103 is crowning the hottest man alive.

To recap, the radio station's listeners nominated the top 64 hottest men in the world. Just like the brackets that are created for the annual NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, we all can vote throughout March on their website for the hottest guys in each round. The winners will move on to the next round and take on the next hottie, and so on, and so on, until they crown the hottest man alive.

After being chosen for the top 64, Chan beat Amaury Nolasco to get into the Tempting 32, Taye Diggs to make it into the Sexy 16, and Orlando bloom to get into the Exciting 8.
